Supreme Patty - Blown

I made this track on a plane so I couldn't record a fresh vocal on it and instead had to chop up one of my old recordings.  I'd like to share with you what that original song was about.  It's basically a summary of what I've "re-learned" over the past year through various difficulties.

Firstly, it was about fighting to make changes in your life.  If something is wrong, you have to speak up, act on it and make the change.  Secondly, it was about following the role models in your life, the people you aspire to be like.  See how they respond to situations with tact and humility and decisiveness and clarity.  Notice them.  Learn from them.  Surround yourself with them.  Thirdly, it was about how to work as team.  Sometimes you have to lead, sometimes you have to follow.  When you have a good group, you'll see people step in and out of leadership as needed, while being receptive to the situation.  It's a great feeling.  Lastly, it was about reaping the rewards of these efforts.  When you fight to make the change, when you're receptive to the situation and when you reflect in order to improve yourself for next time, you WILL be better off.  It might not be today or tomorrow, but eventually you'll look back and see how far you've come as a person.  Not to mention, that's all you can really do: fight to DO better and fight to BE better.  You may have noticed I threw the sound of an eagle's cry in the song.  In addition to sounding amazing, it was meant to represent things which you can only understand and appreciate through through a bird's eye view.  Through perspective.
