Matrefakt are back on Sous Music. One year on from the release of their debut ‘False Promises’, the Liverpool-based duo have been busily going from strength to strength, building a name for themselves with stand-out releases on Skream’s Of Unsound Mind, Abandon Silence, Shall Not Fade and their own imprint, Attitudes To Life.  

The collab with Liverpool based producer was long overdue, after they have known each other for years. They recently collaborated on a release for Skream’s ‘Of Unsound Mind’ imprint and ‘Ethos’ see’s them reunite for the title track on this release on Anja’s Sous imprint. ‘Ethos’ is a low slung, synth-laden groover with more than a nod to the 80’s. A release with two original cuts, Matrefakt fly solo for slamming tribal techno workout, ’14:47’ as the b-side.

Red Axes are Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi. Born and raised in Tel Aviv the duo have honed their adventurous, genre-blending sound for the best part of the last decade, following the likes of Daft Punk, Justice and Boys Noize as creative bridges in the cultural gap between the ever expanding world of electronic music and the post-punk world of rock n roll as they bring an alternative edge to the often all too functional world of house and techno.
