London based duo Codec came to the forefront of the scene late last year after their EP on Black Butter Records rose to the top of the Juno charts and surpassed all expectations. Codec's sound and style is deeply rooted in the realms of bass music, with a strong sense of UK garage blended with 90's house. Along the way their dancefloor designed sound has gained them support from tastemaker DJs such as T.Williams, Foamo, Gorgon City, Rudimental, Laurent Garnier, Breach, Monki amongst many more.

Forthcoming on WRHSmusic, the brand new label co-run by Unit7 is Codec's new 'Is It Something' EP available for download on 30th September via Beatport. Second release in and WRHSmusic have already been championed by Clash, Mixmag, Data Transmission, Daily Street, SBTV and more, and we can expect WRHS002 to follow in similar footsteps.

Opening the EP with a club ready record, Codec step things up with leading track 'Is It Something'. The trickling hi-hats and classic M1 organ tones and carefully layered with atmospheric synths, recreating and capturing everything we know and love about classic 90's dance music. Up next 'No More (1998)' enters with a pounding bassline and driving force which tackles things head on. Last but not least, 'Everyday' rounds the EP off perfectly with its clipped vocals, twinkling keys and throbbing bass.

Now the duo have their status firmly set we can look forward to hearing much more from this breakthrough pair who continue to represent UK talent in their own wonderful way. In the next few months Codec have gigs lined up at The Nest (Dalston), Coalition (Brighton), Sub Soul (Ibiza), Space Ibiza plus many more.

Firmly established as an integral Anjunadeep family member with tracks like "Craymal" and "Back To Love", Beckwith has built a reputation as one of one of the most exciting house producers to come out of New York in the last few years. 

The "Anandia EP" sees Beckwith develop his trademark blend of deep bass and melody with a newfound layer of grit, as heard in the acidic beast that is the title track. 

Building unassumingly from a rolling groove, the track strips back to the bare bones leaving just a distorted vocal refrain before a squelching acid line takes the track into serious late night territory. 

"Clarion" is a bouncier affair, showcasing hints of old-school garage influence with shuffling drums and another distorted vocal weaving between a growling bassline. 

Rounding off the EP is "Life" (feat. Javi), another bubbling groove complete with stylish male vocals from Javi, a rugged, dancefloor ready bassline and crisp, punchy percussion.

EdOne & Bodden's first appearance in OFFSPIN was stellar, their track DO IT seemed to be stuck to the top selling charts reaching number 1 remaining there for months. From then on they became one of the most seeked after production teams around getting signed in huge form by labels like Defected or Suara.

Well, we don't like to wait for things to cool down here so while their first hit is still making the rounds on the best dancefloors around, we asked the spanish duo to deliver their first EP on the label and they quickly got excited with the idea and sent us three amazing tracks showing all their bass-driven magic.

"All you find" explores their soon-to-be trademark sound of garage induced bassline over jacking beats topped with the right dose of strings, synths and vocal stabs, everything wrapped in a whirlwind of emotional club frenzy.

"Come to me" takes a darker approach while still relying on a groovy house beat using wobble synth bass and more delicious vocal and string work, a more laidback groover still for those intense moments of the night.

"Keep On Moving" dives deep into garage territory and offers an addictive percussive trip with tons of mood changes, vocals, synths and an overall feel good piano vibe.

This duo proves once again that they will most likely stay warm for a very long time!

Danny Howard premieres Jacuzzi, the title track from Croquet Club's forthcoming EP, on BBC Radio 1...

It's not often that acts become cult label favourites after just one release but Croquet Club is one such outfit. Heavily influenced by the likes of Air and Bonobo, Croquet Club's fresh take on electronica has already earned support from the likes of Zane Lowe and B. Traits, as well as tastemaker blogs Line Of Best Fit and Indie Shuffle.

The debut Croquet Club release "Awake" / "Cardigan" opened "Anjunadeep 05" and went down as an instant label classic. In the months since then he has remixed one of dance music's biggest acts, Mat Zo, and finished his sophomore release, the Jacuzzi EP.

Lead track "Jacuzzi" sets the tone for a unique and experimental release. Spanning moments of slo-mo electronica before moving into more energetic territory, the track not only demonstrates Croquet Club's talent for melodic inventiveness, but also features his own vocals, which combine with soaring pads in an anthemic climax. 

Reminiscent of last year's "Awake", the infectious "Rush" features the kind of deft melodic textures, vocal sampling and washing atmospherics that are quickly becoming a Croquet Club trademark. 

"Breath" takes a more stripped back approach, building on a delicate percussive groove with his own swirling vocals and soft rising melody. Huge, warm bass notes and a guitar riff inject energy into this multi-layered to magical effect, as things advance to a cascading crescendo.

Croquet Club - Jacuzzi (Danny Howard BBC Radio 1 Premiere)

At the end of 2013 Huxley surprised everyone when he dropped his debut Aus EP, ‘Inkwell.' Marking his return to the label, the seasoned remixer and prolific producer is likely to turn more heads again as he announces both his forthcoming EP, 'The Machine,' (out 14th July) and his debut album, 'Blurred,' slated for an October release on Aus.

Huxley's rise to the forefront of the global dance music community has been an exceptional and speedy process, establishing himself quickly as a figurehead with a background in both the UK Garage and House scenes.

With ‘The Machine’ EP Huxley takes things another step forward, unquestionably focused on the dance floor but showing a real range and depth as a producer. With ‘Callin', co-produced with S-Man (aka Roger Sanchez) we see Huxley in hands-in-the-air festival anthem mode, ‘Machina’ is another prime example of a totally unique sub-heavy Huxley bomb, before we're led into the subtle heater of 'Oil Spill' then circling right back around into the deep early morning groove of final track, 'Tendered.’
