Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

This sixth label release offers a striking pair of reconstruction mixes of “Bodies”, by Scotland-born and UK-based vocalist and songwriter – CiCi Hunter.  Vested Recording label head and Chicago-based artist, RJ Pickens, takes the reigns of the Early Morning Reconstruction and turns in a mix laced with deep growling bass, driving percussion, melodic balance, thick vocal layers, and use of many of CiCi’s original track elements – with a vibe perfect for an underground club or an outdoor sunrise set.  Chicago-based progressive rising-star, Jeff Ozmits, turns in a simply sublime, slightly higher tempo melodic beast of a mix, perfect for a peak hour progressive set, complete with powerful synth lines, a more uptempo vibe, and a guitar line that will give you proper goosebumps, aptly titled the Late Night Reconstruction. When Joe Cowie aka Kahwe made his Anjunadeep debut in 2013 his music was championed by the likes of Kerri Chandler, Laurent Garnier, Larry Heard and Mr. G, and described by RA as “smouldering sunset house”. Following a break from music, the Manchester based DJ and Producer returns with his anticipated four-track ‘Manana EP’.

Opening the EP is title-track ‘Manana’, leading with jazz-influenced melodies and a driving low-end. ‘The Rebel’ features breakbeat drums whilst ‘All Day’ demonstrates Kahwe’s genre-fluid productions. Closing track ‘This World’ incorporates the kind of soulful sunset music that caused such a stir back when Kahwe made his debut.

Following the release of his double-cut ‘Venus / Trondheim’, which saw support from the likes of Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, Dutch producer Nordfold returns to Anjunadeep with his four-track ‘Down Memory Lane EP’.
 
Opening the EP is title-track ‘Down Memory Lane’, leading with soft piano melodies and vocal stabs. ‘Rituals’ features breakbeat drums whilst ‘Andes’ is filled with intricate percussive rhythms. Closing the EP is ‘Pause Sunset’, showcasing Nordfold's characteristic sound design, which has previously been championed by Phil Taggart on BBC Radio 1.

An obsessive producer, Clarian returns to Anjunadeep with his mesmeric three-track ‘Sunbeam EP’, following the release of his highly-praised EP ‘Fly Away’ on the label last year.

The Canadian’s decade-long tenure in the underground electronic scene has seen him release on Visionquest, Turbo, Life and Death and Kompakt alongside his acclaimed collaborations with Guy Gerber, Seth Troxler, Felix Da Housecat, and Tiga.

Title-track ‘Sunbeam’ opens the EP, leading with introspective synth hooks. ‘Place For Us’ showcases Clarian’s versatile productions with a driving kick drum and intertwining melodies whilst ‘The Art Of Self Destruction’ features a dystopian spoken-word sample.
