The most agile duo from Madrid returns to Musica Cavernicola with a spectacular release: two high-energy tracks dedicated to the dance floor. The classic sounds of legendary drum machines, elegant soundscapes, and their knack for bringing sounds that defined an era into the present day. Two original tracks with different sonic registers but with the same characteristic Teemon & Poomba thread. A true dance music pioneer, Tom Middleton has built up an impressive back catalogue over the past two decades including collaborations with the likes of Aphex Twin, Josh Wink, Adam Freehand, and notably with Mark Pritchard as Global Communication. That along with his solo prowess and memorable remixes for Kerri Chandler, Orbital, Ennio Morricone, Jon Hopkins and more have marked him out as one of the scene’s most respected artists.

2016 sees the return of Tom Middleton to Anjunadeep with a 4 track re-imagining of his 2015 club hit “HEVA”. The package features reworks from two diverse talents, Vincenzo and Geode, plus additional mixes from Tom himself including a stunning ambient production and 2-Step remix.

Both of Tom’s own EP contributions are trademark examples of his deft skill and ingenuity when reworking his own productions. Two diverse takes on an Anjuna anthem.

Next up, we welcome upcoming UK producer and Middleton’s own tipped talent, Geode, with his garage infused club roller, awash with wavering synths and quirky percussive licks.

Anjunadeep legend Vincenzo returns the favour following Tom’s much-loved 2012 remix of ’Sometimes Saturday', offering up a signature melodic rework, complimenting the spacey atmospherics of the original with a hallmark deep rolling bassline. Debuted by James Grant during his live set at Anjunadeep Miami, Vincenzo's deep house cut has already begun the rounds, a peak summer gem.

Energy 52’s Cafe Del Mar probably needs little introduction - first appearing in 1993 and establishing itself as one of the key tracks in European dance music culture. 

The track was voted number 1 in Mixmag’s 100 best tracks of all time, as well as occupying the same spot in a Radio 1 poll of Top 20 Dance Tracks of Last 20 Years. 

Honouring the spirit of the track, Push Communications unveil a remix project updating this classic into a 2016 context, via a killer array of contemporary talent. 

First up, Tim Engelhardt casts his spell over the original, providing an epic 10 minute journey that evokes sunset at Ibiza’s Cafe Del Mar through lush evolving sounds and textures. 

Marcel Janowsky’s remix ups the energy levels with a skippy, vibrant and dubby mix that works the source material in fresh new shapes. 

Dale Middleton’s mix is another epic affair, stretching out and giving room for the fully balearic, feet-in-the-sand Ibiza vibe. 

Düsseldorf-based Mario Da Ragnio goes for a more driving take with his rework, pushing things into a darker formation before allowing the famous arpeggiated melody to shine through.
