Anjunadeep warmly welcomes back Joseph Ray for the standalone release of his striking single  ‘Changing Lanes’.

First heard on flagship compilation Anjunadeep 13, ‘Changing Lanes’ stands out for its all-enveloping sound design, including a distinct cavernous bass line that has become characteristic of Ray’s solo work. Keeping to his penchant for journey-like compositions, Ray has included the eight-minute original mix on the single.

The single follows Ray’s 2021 collaborative album ‘Leave the Bones’, written and recorded with Haitian band Lakou Mizik. Celebrated by the likes of NPR, Pitchfork, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Worldwide FM, Billboard, and The Times, ‘Leave the Bones’ laid bare the rich musical culture of Haiti, and exhibited the beauty, hope and resilience of the island nation’s people. The album will see an adjoining feature-length film released later this year.

On a sunny day off, I’m on the dancefloor at a Hernan Cattaneo party, of course. He played one of the most infectious melodies I’ve heard. What is this track?

Being the nice guy he is, he let me pop up to the booth and take a picture of the ID.

“Masai” by MATIRAMIC Who is this guy? Where can I find this track? I messaged MATIRAMIC on Instagram and expressed my love for the track, which happened to be unsigned.

He was thrilled I liked it, and we offered him a release on diviine + a “Spencer Brown Rethink” for my sets. We were both so excited to make it happen.

EVGHENIIA - Twin Flame (Doyeq Remix) [AKASHA MX]

After about a year of sending Daniel music and getting some support in his mixtapes, he reached out about remixing one of the tracks off his new album. I was already ecstatic about the opportunity, but once I learned it was a track with Patrick Baker, the excitement doubled. I've always been a huge fan of Patrick's vocals; they perfectly embody the wistfulness and uplifting melancholy that underpins so much of my music, so it was awesome getting to use them in a track.

I'm really happy with how this remix turned out so I hope you all enjoy it.

In addition to this remix, I'm set to join Lane 8 for 5 dates on his Little By Little album tour, supporting him in Washington DC, Philadelphia, Toronto, as well as sold out shows in Brooklyn and Cambridge.

Following his single ’There Is Peace Beyond’, which saw support from Lane 8, Dosem, and Edu Imbernon, prodigious producer Nox Vahn (FKA Fairchild) now releases his double-cut 'Brainwasher / Walking With Giants’.

A standout track of Above & Beyond’s recent warm up set at ABGT350, with its foreboding spoken word verses and incomparably dark builds, ‘Brainwasher’ is set to be a DJ staple this winter. Described as “an ode to dance music, partying, and clubbing as a form of escape from the Brainwashers” (i.e. one's daily distractions), Nox Vahn’s latest captures the emotion of late night warehouse raves and foggy memories. 

Similarly imbued with his characteristically ominous sound design, ‘Walking With Giants’ sees tribal toms bounce against drones and vocal chops, further illustrating why the the American DJ has garnered support from some of the biggest names in the dance music industry; Sander Van Doorn, Jonas Rathsman, Paul Oakenfold and BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong to name a few.

Nox Vahn - Brainwasher

Plastician and Spanish production starlet Juche link up for a unique and fun take on Juche's previously released "eNight" track. Repackaging the release is a new version from Plastician, which strips back much of the original's Trance roots to give it a more subtle and UK approach. He reached out to Juche after hearing the original on shuffle whilst driving, and constantly humming a 2 step drum beat in his head - a few months down the line and here we are listening to his UK Garage inspired version of a Trance track. Unlike anything we've released before, we're excited to see how this one translates!

In his 2021 remix of Dosem’s ‘Eternal Summer', Marsh expands on the classic piano flavour of the original with his signature bass and an acid-like lead, taking the track down a darker path well-suited for the club dancefloor.

‘Eternal Summer’ was the third single off Dosem’s 'Dream Decoder’. Primarily composed during his long stays in Tokyo, a city which he believes to be "a beautiful visual metaphor between reality and the world of dreams", the album reflects the bustling metropolis from which it was inspired, resulting in a futuristic, colourful, and distinct sound.

I am breathing electronic music since late 70s and that's over 45 years now. From Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo, Alphaville, Men without Hats, Nitzer Ebb, Die Krupps, Front 242, Anne Clark, Camouflage, Gary Numan, OMD, Apopytygma Berzerk and even the Commodore 64 demo & break dance scene to more contemporary Electronic music artists, I witnessed the evolution of Electronic music, which basically means I am an old fart and consider myself an authority in this music genre 😵 Currently I listen DnB almost exclusively. But I do not like to restrict myself at all, enjoying flavors like Electronica, Trance, Psytrance, Tech House, Dubstep, Deep House, Future Pop, Trap, Techno, UK Bass and of course EBM/Industrial as well.

What you will find in my likes and playlists is the top of the crop in Electronic Music, I will  absolutely not list any bullshit. A track I have not listed might be just that: Bullshit, just mediocre or an artistic gem which I haven't discovered yet.
