Kicking off the 2015 release schedule, Silk Digital is excited to present the first remixes single from Dan Sieg's "A Sense Of Wonder" artist album, which reached #1 on Beatport's trance and progressive house release charts in the final quarter of this past year. Specifically, remix duties have been bestowed upon Sound Quelle (Russia) and Blugazer (USA), two veteran talents who experienced breakthrough years in 2014, on account of various standout original contributions and remixes to our parent label. 

Sound Quelle continues to dazzle electronic music fans alike with his versatile talent: composing deep house, club trance, and all sub-genres in between with equal sophistication and depth. His remix of Dan Sieg's "A Sense Of Wonder" begins with a powerful groove, coupled with deep pads and the subtle lead melody from the original mix. Gorgeous melodic variations begin to emerge, as the track approaches the main break. Poignant pads offer an especially memorable climax, just before the drop beckons the listener to re-join the dancefloor. 

Blugazer, whose "Ethereal Concepts" was a label highlight from 2014, offers a heartwarming take on "Horizons". The radiance and sense of optimism from the original mix is not lost in Blugazer's take, which centers on a soothing progressive house groove and early-morning pads. Meanwhile, signature vocal effects add tremendous texture to the soundscape. By the song's latter half, Blugazer has once again woven an intricate progressive composition, replete with various melodic layers, heavenly vocal stabs, and soulful pads.

This past spring, we were delighted to present the debut Silk Music EP by acclaimed Iranian artist Masoud, featuring fellow Silk newcomer Tara Louise on vocals. Their beautiful vocal house collaborations, "My Dreams" and "Goodbye," have now been remixed by two extraordinary label veterans: Vintage & Morelli (Serbia) and meHiLove (Ukraine).

Vintage & Morelli is in the midst of a banner year, highlighted by his recent "My Rose Enchanted Destiny" album release, as well as a pair of releases on the esteemed Anjunabeats imprint. His inspired take reimagines "My Dreams" as a peak-hour progressive house anthem. A stormy and trance-influenced lead chord progression soars above a buoyant bassline, while a mellifluous Balearic guitar motif further enhances the soundscape. Meanwhile, Tara's vocal, the primary lead element, once again captivates the listener: her emotional delivery is only accentuated by Vintage & Morelli's exhilarating instrumentation. For those more inclined toward vocal-less electronica, Vintage & Morelli has contributed a "Dub Mix" as well.

meHiLove, acclaimed Silk veteran and former "Both" Remix Contest winner, centers his interpretation of "Goodbye" on a more traditional progressive house groove. As the track progresses, a variety of gorgeous melodic effects join Tara's memorable vocal. A relatively subdued breakdown showcases these many stunning themes, which are equal parts ethereal and cathartic. meHiLove has also provided a "Dub Mix" to round out the release.

Winter / Cyan's Child" is the hot new two tracker from Michael Cassette, aka Matti Heininen and Erkka Lempiäinen. Over the last 12 months these two Finns have established themselves as the masters of 80's inspired melodic house music, first with Shadow's Movement, one of the highlights of SOS' excellent Balance compilation, and more recently with their remix of Paul Keeley's "A Sort Of Homecoming", which stormed the Beatport charts and picked up BBC Radio One airplay on James Zabiela's Glastonbury Essential Mix.

Winter is a real feelgood gem, with 80's synths and riffs riding bareback across a magical, goose-bump inducing groove. Cyan Child is a more intense affair and sounds like a natural follow up to last year's debut single "Zeppelin", picking up a huge reaction when road-tested at the pair's recent performance at Ministry of Sound.

With this new single and another EP lined up on on Anjunadeep under their Komytea guise, not to mention a monster bootleg in the works, it looks set to be a big year for Michael Cassette…
