Japanese producer Lycoriscoris aka Yunosuke Senoo makes his Anjunadeep debut with a bold 6-track EP, encompassing his wide-ranging electronic, classical, and jazz influences. 

With two albums under his belt on Japanese indie labels, he garnered impressive A-list support from DJ Koze, Michael Mayer and Dominik Eulberg over the past 12 months with his release on Kompakt’s KX imprint. 

This was followed by a memorable contribution to the iTunes #1 Dance album ‘Anjunadeep 08’, the contemplative ‘Drop’, reworked by Jody Wisternoff and James Grant especially for the compilation.

Presenting his most expansive project to date, Lycoriscoris showcases a meticulously crafted journey through electronica, from the trippy tones of ‘Sur Oiseau’, the record drifts into the upbeat groove of ‘AS’, a quirky blend of organic sounds and experimental percussion. 

Title track ‘Drop’ weaves delicate low-end beneath an emotive piano line before the dreamy pads of ‘Lush’. Penultimate track ‘Her’ layers guitar riffs and intricate melodies alongside stuttered percussive sounds ahead of the EP’s blissful finale ‘MSK’.

Covering 5 tracks from the hotly anticipated "Anjunadeep 05" compilation mixed by Jody Wisternoff and James Grant, this sampler features exclusive material from UK house duo Dusky, Andrew Bayer & James Grant, the much-loved Solarity and rising star Universal Solution. 

Opening things up is Andrew Bayer & James Grant's uniquely deep take on "It's Cool" by Australian indie-electronic act The Presets - taken from last year's gold selling album "Pacifica". Stripping things back entirely, Bayer and Grant reconstruct the original into a moody, hypnotic vocal deep house epic - complete with stirring pianos. 

Responsible for some of the biggest deep house tracks of the past 18 months in "Flo Jam" and "Nobody Else", London duo Dusky return to the label that released their debut album "Stick By This" with the atmospheric "Mr Man". Already a favourite of Sasha among others, "Mr Man" sees Dusky take a more measured approach with deep, brooding bass grooves, hypnotic textures and a classy piano refrain. 

Andrew Bayer & James Grant team up again for the brilliant "Living". Soaked in lazy groove and percussive fills, "Living" is a deep, melodic house gem that unravels beautifully and climaxes on a washing, emotion-loaded breakdown. 

Hotly tipped talent Gavin Holland aka Universal Solution then contributes with the spacey and epic "Osheen". A great introduction to the label, "Osheen" blends a dark, growling bassline with LTJ Bukem-esque soundscapes to create a perfect Anjunadeep alchemy. 

Completing the package is the blissed-out ambient electronica of Solarity's "Symbols", who make a much-anticipated return to the label.

Following his recent return with a two-track EP on Colorize, Clameres is back once again with another stunner, 'Backbone / Dissolving'.

The first of the two tracks is 'Backbone' - a warm and atmospheric tune that puts you in a deep trance. Surrounded with hypnotic progressive vibes, this track is sure to grab anyone's attention.

Approaching Black's Vocal Remix takes off with a blissful atmosphere, in which we witness gorgeous piano stabs, LaMeduza's spell-binding vocals, and lush sound effects. Reaching out of the Los Angeles skyline into shimmering heat haze, Dan Sieg returns to the familiar surroundings of Mango Alley with "Submood / Klunker". Rhythmic prowess provides a strong foundation as resolute beat frames all and percussive hi-hats draw lines that cross in intricate patterns – the steel girders that bind the city together. A melodic trope flows in "Submood" – repetitive sequencing creates a seemingly simple pattern that replicates itself in ever-evolving patterns; modern architectural design faces out towards the city, its pattern playing tricks of perspective in the consciousness of passers-by. Innovation supplies the mechanical underpinnings of "Klunker" as jagged edges and synth lines that cut like arc-welders into the sonic infrastructure. Creating an auditory collage of multi-faceted texture, beauty emerges in clever manipulation of the audible form.

Dutch precision informs a new perception of "Klunker". Never alone in a sprawling metropolis, Mononoid create a vibrant sonic architecture from a monument of modern art. Refracted colours create synesthesia in aural form as a new rhythmic groundwork provides the basis for an original interpretation to rise out of themes that are the central pillars of Sieg's structure. Intelligently revisited in understated precision, a new direction sees rippling arpeggios spiral in hypnotic patterns, shining like sun reflected across a wall of glass. Consistently referencing the original with care and consideration, Mononoid are Dutch masters of all they survey, their sonic building blocks creating a vision of modernity and dynamism in their precision-engineered work.

ALLEY071 Submood / Klunker

We are pleased to welcome Qatar-based talent A.M.R to the label. His past work reflects a penchant for uplifting, peak-hour trance & progressive. Yet, with the three-track offering "Orchids," A.M.R explores much deeper sonic terrain, to exceedingly moving effect.

"Orchids" begins its slow burn with an expansive soundscape, tinged with a rising chime. Mellow piano keys patiently flicker against the developing backdrop. The one-minute mark sets ablaze a spark of hypnotic percussion, as a deep bass hums below the flame. A suspenseful buildup ultimately reveals a delicately executed combination of haunting piano keys and moving strings. 

"Uncharted" establishes a chilled groove in the early going, but soon begins to crescendo, as an ethereal combination of vocal and instrumental motifs enter the mix. Angelic vocal samples reverberate through the soundscape, as do each poignant keystroke of the piano. At midpoint, the song fully reveals itself as a dichotomous exploration of both hope and sorrow. The track's concluding moments, replete with indelible melodic themes, offer us sanctuary from the terrestrial concerns that underpin our anxiety and deepest fears.

Evoking the isolation of its namesake, "One Man Island"'s hollow piano keys transport us to a solitary space, removed from the bustle of metropolitan life. Here, we revel in the mellow musings made possible through pensive solitude. Airy soundscapes welcome familiar elements of the track's predecessors, while leaving more than ample space for it to remain compositionally unique. Primitive vocal effects, coupled with slick percussive effects, position the song firmly in upbeat and emotive territory.
