A highlight from the iTunes #1 compilation ‘Anjunadeep 07’, Ryan Davis’ melancholic beauty ‘Brun’ gets reworked by two leading lights of the European underground, Luca Bacchetti and Matthias Meyer. Over the past decade Ryan Davis has carved out his own niche, with a unique brand of melodic techno, attracting wide-spread support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Jonas Rathsman, Stephan Bodzin and Max Cooper. 

Following releases on Crosstown Rebels, Saved and Ovum over the past few years, along with a string of stand-out remixes, Italian producer Luca Bacchetti offers up a signature rework, intertwining an subtle groove with delicate cinematic chords that compliment the spacey sentiments of the original.

Hamburg influencer and Watergate resident Matthias Meyer takes the stage for the second remix, debuted in James Grant’s recent Deep House Amsterdam mix. Meyer offers a textured roller, infusing classic house elements that resonate beautifully alongside the original’s cosmic soundscapes; an uplifting and emotive dancefloor moment.

Toronto-based Brazilian Hauy steps up on Lee Burridge's inimitable Get Weird imprint with a lush three tracker in tow. The release, which drops January 20th on digital and shortly after on vinyl (Feb 3rd), features an exquisite electronic blend, which is just as at home on the playa as it is in the club. 'Your Way To Paradise' leads the line, a track you can hear in full premiere on When We Dip today, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Hauy has assembled a seductive seven minute beauty that rides on a supreme groove. This one is about much more than the dancefloor: "Ruler On The Throne" by Budakid is full of ear openers with it's painted synth sounds and the metallic bleeps combined with the warm voice of Siogue. Such an intense statement of deep and electronic music to end and summarize the season. "The Question Is Why" comes much more poppy and combines different musical cultures. It's trippy and melodic and turns into a funk-tinged anthem while the piano is taken you back to the beach. The remix by Kris Davis speaks the language of the club. An electronic romance for your body, filled with a classy bass line and the power of minimalistic sounds. Out end of September on Einmusika.

Active Child's tune 'Johnny Belinda' gets the remix treatment from Dutch electronic music legend Matthew Dekay The producer has been responsible for one of Innervisions' biggest hits, 'Lost In A Moment', and also produced the groundbreaking EP 'Amity' including the summer hit 'Fangtango' on Maeve. With his remix for Active Child's track 'Johnny Belinda' Dekay once again proves his ability to turn an original track into his own piece of work. Melodic melancholic synth chords shape the body of MDK's remix approach and are set with a reserved bass line that fully unfolds its punch as the remix proceeds. But it certainly is the vocal that puts its mark on the track and Dekay manages to make the interaction between the vocals and soundscapes sound so easy.
