Hot off the heels of his latest EP ‘Music For My Memories Pt I’, which won support from KCRW’s Jason Bentley and SiriusXM, San Francisco’s Luttrell returns with new single ‘Operation Midnight’; the lead single from his forthcoming EP ‘Music For My Memories Pt. II’.

Amassing over 55 million streams throughout his career to date, in recent years Eric has cemented his reputation as one of the electronic music scene’s most exciting acts, having toured the globe performing at Coachella, London’s Printworks and New York’s Brooklyn Mirage. A much loved Anjunadeep fan favourite, the past few years have seen Eric release two acclaimed LPs, his debut ‘Into Clouds’ and follow up ‘Lucky Ones’, along with a wave of well-received singles and remixes for the likes of Moby, Jai Wolf, Catching Flies and Above & Beyond. 

‘Music For My Memories Pt. II’ marks the second of a trilogy of works to be shared throughout 2021.

San Francisco’s rising star Luttrell makes his return to Anjunadeep following recent BBC Radio 1 favourites ‘Like It Is’ and ‘Don’t Forget To Breathe’. His latest outing stays true to form and offers up another diverse peak-time package, from anthemic title track ‘Generate’ to the soaring cinematic euphoria of ‘Float’ and quirky grooves of ‘Waking Dream’ and ‘Daylight’.

Now this was a strange creative process. At some point mid-2017, I wrote the groovy bassline on a plane, and I quickly named the project “Airplane Tekno” before landing. The name stuck. Over the next 3 or 4 months on probably over 10 flights, I worked on this record in small, 10-20 minute increments. Unlike my other music, I did not transfer it to my studio computer—in the spirit of the track, I forced myself to work on it exclusively in the air. 

The track’s original piano sample got rejected when we tried to clear it, so I called an old friend of mine, Roderick Demmings Jr. One of the most talented musicians and best human beings I have ever met, Roderick will certainly be a well-known musician and icon in due time. 

In the end, I’m thrilled that the sample got rejected, as Roderick’s piano piece is even better than the original. Sometimes things happen for a reason…

I debuted this track at Soundbar in Chicago.

A mainstay on Anjunabeats, Spencer Brown exposes his deeper side with Qrion in the alluring progressive melody of ‘Sapporo’. This spring, Los Angeles-based Durante and HANA release their debut EP on Anjunadeep ‘13 Voices’. Championed by the likes of Bonobo, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Grimes respectively, the duo combine deep grooves with HANA's angelic vocals.

Delicate arpeggios open the EP on title-track ‘13 Voices’, whilst Anjunadeep 11 favourite ‘Days Pass’ showcases HANAs mesmeric songwriting atop tribal percussive textures. Closing the EP is ‘Starglow’, a club-ready track with a thumping bassline that demonstrates Durante’s flair for intersecting house and techno.
