Jon Gurd presents ‘Spaces’, his first release since his acclaimed 2020 album ‘Lion’.

A companion EP to ‘Lion' ’Spaces’ features three new tracks imbued with Gurd’s textural sound design and moody melodies. Lead track ‘Fire & Ice’ evokes the cavernous uplifting sound of the 90s, reminiscent of Massive Attack and Underworld, whilst ‘Walk With Me’ and ‘Flux’ favour are characteristically Gurd - bittersweet and breaksy.

If 'Lion’ was an album that deals with loss, ‘Spaces’ is the resulting reprieve - a stirring return that shows why Gurd is supported by the likes of Solomun, Stephen Bodzin, Alan Fitzpatrick, Adriatique, Gorgon City, and Shadow Child.

Anjunadeep warmly welcomes London-based DJ and producer Hammer for his debut release on the label - a dynamic remix of Dosem’s ‘Unclosed’.

As one of the co-pilots of the ‘Feel My Bicep’ blog, Hammer has been immersed in the UK electronic scene from a young age. Having collaborated with Bicep on the acclaimed ‘Dahlia EP’, and released cuts on labels like Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondent, Denis Sulta’s Silver Service, Loft, Modern Magic, and Hotflush, the Belfast-born producer has cultivated a reputation for expertly blending soul, disco and techno. Hammer’s ‘Unclosed’ remix doubles down on Dosem’s powerful original, emphasising a driving low end and an unrelenting percussive topline.

‘Unclosed’ was originally heard on Dosem’s ‘Dream Decoder’, an album composed during long stays in Tokyo. The album reflects the bustling metropolis from which it was inspired, resulting in a futuristic, colourful, and distinct sound that was supported by the likes of Joris Voorn, Maceo Plex, Gorgon City, Solomun, and Edu Imbernon.

First heard on the label’s flagship compilation ‘Anjunadeep 12’, ‘Steady’ from Portuguese producer Xinobi (featuring vocals from London-based duo Vaarwell), lands unmixed and in full on April 28.

Xinobi first appeared on the label in 2017, when his single ‘Far Away Place’ received an acclaimed remix from label bosses Jody Wisternoff & James Grant. Since then, Xinobi’s impressive output has included Anjunadeep single ‘Skulls’, and LPs ‘On The Quiet’ and ‘A Collection of Xinobi Dance Songs’. His melodic progressions have also seen him release on labels including RADIANT, Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings, and his own imprint Discotexas.

Following on from his Anjunadeep Explorations debut last summer, emerging German DJ/producer Ben Böhmer returns to the label for his first solo outing with a trio of melodic weapons on ‘Morning Falls EP’. The EP opens with the rolling melodies of ‘Morning Falls’ before drifting into peak time club cut ‘After Earth’. Böhmer rounds off the EP with the laid back grooves of ‘Velvet Rebellion’ which also features his friend and frequent collaborator Wood.

The fifth and final single off his upcoming LP ‘Nightwhisper’, 'For Those We Knew’ is a touching homage to Jody’s father. Inspired by the contrasting emotions felt during a difficult time, the track was written to be "something ultimately uplifting, but a piece that still portrayed the feeling of impending loss”. After composing ‘For Those We Knew’,  Jody teamed up with vocalist Mimi Page, explaining "there is an extremely spiritual and ethereal quality to her voice which I thought made perfect sense contextually”.

 With over 26 million streams across his solo and collaborative catalogue, Wisternoff's latest LP is a culmination of decades at the forefront of the UK rave scene. Written during an introspective period for the DJ and songwriter, 'Nightwhisper’ drops May 1.

Berlin based producer and live artist Ben Böhmer has become a breakout star of the past 18 months, amassing almost 50 million streams, picking up BBC Radio 1 support from Annie Mac and Pete Tong, including an ‘Essential New Tune’, and being featured in Billboard’s ‘Ones To Watch’.
