How powerful nature is, how unique and diverse—how many colors it has, how many shapes, how many creatures it has produced, how long it has survived without help. How many magnificent things it has created, nature... if one were to search for a definition of life, it would be the answer to all questions. It is life itself. It creates it, it changes it, it is the mother of evolution.
It even created us, but... were we perhaps just a mistake of nature? An error in its gene pool of diversity?

This world has survived for billions of years without our intervention... and yet we humans think that we are the greatest creatures on this planet... because we can change it, shape it according to our ideas... because we... can outsmart nature itself... by creating clones and breeding plants that have never existed before... We... the wonderful humans who elevate ourselves to godlike status, without respect for what life has given us. With all the possibilities we know, we are destroying the mother of all life, yet no one is paying attention... 

She trembles (increasing earthquakes), she cries (increased floods and rainfall), she is angry (volcanic eruptions), she is furious (increased hurricanes around the world), she is powerless and frozen like ice (cooling warm currents in the oceans), she is dying (extinction of many species) – and we... are dying with them all... we just don't know it yet, or don't want to admit it...

A Christmas wish

I'm walking through the streets of my city, it's pre-Christmas time, the windows are all beautifully decorated, decorated fir branches hang everywhere in the windows, the lights of the Christmas market shine along the street in front of the large shopping center. The scent of sage and honey sweets is in the air, it smells wonderfully of mulled wine and baked ginger bread and biscuits.

People around me hurry past, no one looks at me, no one smiles - everyone seems so rushed and terribly tense - some sad, some angry - I'm pushed, no excuse please just an annoyed oh man ey, watch out... I get sad, look up - it's starting to snow slightly, the tower clock of the nearby church strikes 6 p.m., it's already dark.

I raise my hand... snap your fingers and... time stands still...

It's dead quiet, no noisy cars, no screaming people, no more hustle and bustle, no more stress... Everything is at a standstill... as the people slowly move again, they seem confused, as if they don't know where they are, or where they want to go.

A woman turns around and looks at me... She smiles and says... Thank you very much. I haven't seen an angel for a long time. I wish you a wonderful Christmas. Even behind her back I see the delicate wings of a Christmas elf... and the sparkle in her crystal clear eyes shows me the gratitude for this short, beautiful Christmas magic.

Smiling people greeting each other, drinking tea or mulled wine together, smiling calmly and contemplatively, shining children's eyes on the Christmas carousel and:

and the world turns again at its actual speed, bustling hustle and bustle, stressed faces wherever you look... I walk slowly on and continue to dream of the peace and contemplation that Christmas should actually represent.
