Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this week's editions we welcome @Valeron

Generally recognized as the top DJ on the island of Mykonos, Valeron is definitely one of the longest standing and most omnipresent figures of the ever-shifting local music scene.

Soon after relocating to Mykonos, he became a producer releasing tracks that helped register his name in the Deep House and Electronic genre. This carried him through to becoming a founder of the Bercana Music label and releasing 2 personal albums already “Amare” & ‘’Aigaio’’. Valeron’s albums introduces a unique combination of traditional Greek instruments and Electronic beats.

Every Saturday at Scorpios Mykonos Valeron leads ‘’Scorpios World’’ where he performs live alongside Greek musicians of instruments such as the clarinet, violin, Ney,Bouzouki, Saz, Oud,Santur and many more. With lots of originals and remixes that had climb on top of Beatport charts, on May 2019 he will release his third personal album.

We are happy to welcome him to our family, and we hope you enjoy this mix as much as we do!

Hej allihop!

I’d like to present my two interpretations of the Swedish folk group Kolonien — just in time for a new summer!

Four years ago I was introduced to their music and I was instantly elevated and showered in nostalgia by their uplifting yet thoughtful and grounded creations. As the little pirate that I am, I went ahead without asking and transformed the first song ”Klockorna Ringer” into an expression in which both our inner worlds could shine through.

Last year I reached out, for them to hear it and let them know how many corners of the world they were traveling to and how many faces and souls they were lighting up, even without a word of the lyrics being understood — the energy and the vibe were transmitted.

To my delight Kolonien was excited to hear this (phew!). I offered to do another interpretation which I did in April in the Swedish archipelago, in between sauna sessions and dives into the chilly Baltic Sea. With the nightingale and the sun waking me up, and spring being in full bloom outside, the process of transforming ”Lämnar Staden” naturally led me to a light and playful place — a place of transparency and of free expression. This is Crussen and Kolonien’s own place and we’re very happy to have you here.

Welcome to the 3rd SOLmundo of 2019 <3

Named the 'Garden Effect' for a reason. This episode is special as it brought in more inspiration from The Gardens of Babylon experience, Summer 2019.

We were all absolutely blown away by the ridiculously consistent good music played in that special place. Inspiration from what I’ve heard, learned, and who I met while on festival grounds. 

It was quite humbling & exciting to meet artists and label bosses that produce my absolute favorite electronic music style & sounds. Legends I have been supporting for years, showing genuine mutual interest, that certainly opened more doors to Music, and now there’s a bigger pool for more Music. There is no other sound that influenced me so much and changed my outlook on Electronic Music as much as the well respected artists at the Gardens, and many others definitely! Pure joy.

All in all, it was an honor to get to know a chunk of new music, sounds, artists, and labels at the heartbeat of the genre & its action which is why it makes this episode a lot more special for me thus far, and I hope it would be for the listeners as well (:   

So thanks to all the the artists for creating the magic that is in all these beautiful tracks.
