We wrote this together.
Not as one voice,
but as every woman
who ever smiled to stay safe.

We stood behind too many bars,
walked through too many hallways,
heard too many lines
that were never ours to carry.

So tonight we placed a marker in the dark —
a quiet grave for every excuse,
every “it’s just a joke,”
every “you should be flattered.”

In red, on stone, we left the only truth
that needed a body:

“No woman owes you her smile.
No woman owes you her silence.
No woman likes that.”
