On May 7, 2022, Linda Ronstadt came to her hometown Tucson, Arizona for the ceremony to rename Tucson Music Hall The Linda Ronstadt Concert Hall. "She's the daughter of Tucson," Mayor Regina Romero said. "We wanted to recognize Linda Ronstadt and her family and her success in music."  I was inspired to write this song to commemorate the occasion and to honor Linda- an artist I love, admire and celebrate in my shows. Not only does the renaming of the hall celebrate her artistic legacy, but also the legacy of her musical family who have been a part of Tucson for two centuries.

On the occasion of my birthday this last May 30th, I was presented with am amazing gift- a special song commissioned by the ever thoughtful Debra DeMartini, written and played by John Bucchino and sung by Jessica Fishenfeld. At my outdoor birthday party, we all listened to the recording of "Boundless, Beautiful Heart" with its playful "Heart and Soul" intro and brilliantly generous lyrics and I was gobsmacked! So was the crowd! John made a new mix today and I thought I'd share it with everyone because listening to any song by John Bucchino is a sublime thing. And what a treat to have our uber gifted friend Jessica singing his heart melting words! Hope you enjoy!

Fake Blues

In honor of the passing of my uncle, Bert Andersen, on March March 18, 2020, I wanted to share a song we wrote together called "Be With Me, Lord."  Years  ago, after having a near death experience from fighting cancer, he wrote a poem about it.  Like my mom Shirley, he had a beautiful voice but I didn't know he wrote poetry. After he shared it with me, I was inspired to compose music to it and record it for him as a present.  Now that he has passed, his words resonate in a new way. Rest in peace, beloved Uncle Bert.
