Ann-Janette grew up as the product of a musical family.  With two performing parents, it wasn’t long until she discovered the piano... and ultimately her own voice.  That transcendent voice would become the amplifier of her one of a kind, quixotic heart .  It’s a sound of hope and love, pain and beauty.
Ann-Janette quickly fell in love with the hallmark songwriters of her childhood... Carole King, Willie Nelson, the Carpenters, Lennon & McCartney, but it was her own voice; the songs that echoed her own mind; that drove her the most.  For the last 10 years,  Ann-Janette has been combining those two worlds - writing and recording her own original music, releasing studio and live albums, producing concert events for national release on PBS stations and performing to thousands.  All the while she has been incorporating the songs of other great writers that move her.
Ann-Janette’s most recent endeavor is modern musical called LoveTown.  Her songs form the dialog of a group of strangers all recovering from the ravages of love.  In the meanwhile, she is truly enjoying performing her own mix of these originals and favorite jazz & pop standards to a variety of audiences (large and small).  It’s a place she feels at home in.
