Welcome to the thoughts that occupy my mind, and the rhythms that peruse my body. Although I grew up listening to Destiny’s Child, Monica, Brandy, and Aaliyah when I was a young girl, coming of age, Motown, Alexander O’Neal, and early 80s/90s R&B stole my heart. I loved to sing since elementary school age, and I’ve reconnected with poetry writing in 2010. Summer nights of 2016 led me to begin experimenting with song creation on Garage Band, and that alone transformed my being. I became a producer, not only a consumer. Music has always been my first love. From Making the Band to 106&Park, I’ve always been glued to the radio, headset, or tv—intertwining with the melodies, ballads, and rhymes greeting me from different places and faces. Music took good care of me. It even let me loose, into the wild. It took me for a ride... an experience of freedom unparalleled, still.
