       Being human is not easy! Some things and experiences in this walk on planet earth are down right scary. Yeah?!
       Alongside the ‘scary’ I wonder if we can get curious... I wonder if we can ACCEPT that we are scared rather than posturing or over-compensating and avoiding. 
       What if in our dance and exploration of embodiment, we could SOFTEN into the pure, raw electrical sensations of that very fear, and INCLUDE the animal body. Without calling that part of us nasty names. Without shaming, or making ourselves ‘wrong.’

I've been dreaming of playing the 10am set at RhythmWave for YEARS. 
This year we made it happen. 

RW is has been bringing the vibration of 5Rhythms to the playa and holding the pulse of conscious dance in BRC for well over a decade. 

As a long time practitioner of 5Rhythms, stepping behind the decks on that glorious dance floor was an honor and career highlight. Flanked by long time colleagues and rhythm family, it was the first time I've ever cried during soundcheck. 

And the crowd that showed up?? Good god you were gorgeous, bursting booties thicccc with READY ~~~~ beauty contagious, pure raw yes.

Even though many in our culture do not cultivate relationships with or honor our ancestors or the spirits of the lands in which we live, the ancestral forces are making themselves available to guide us through these turbulent times. Many of our current challenges, including an understanding of who we are or of how we relate as humans to the greater web of life is, may be attributed to a lack of relationship to these beings. In this class we will discuss ways to make these connections and the Plant Teachers who can help facilitate the renewal of these relationships. We will focus on the teachings of Alder who initiates the restoration of devastated land and inspires us to repair the inner devastation wrought by the dominant industrial culture. Come join me in singing songs of remembrance to make way for the spirits of renewal.
