I have always been surrounded by music. From my Irish roots to playing saxophone and clarinet in Yorkshire groups and orchestras, and throughout my work in broadcasting and adult education, music has been a welcome companion.

The greatest delight, at a songwriting workshop a few years ago, was the discovery of my voice. It's smoky, rich and at its best when shared. Playing and performing my own songs is now something of an addiction.
