Anna was born and raised in Berlin, into a family of a musician who exposed her to a diverse range of music genres from a very young age. Her father's art rock band was one of her earliest influences, shaping her understanding of music and its various forms.

Despite living in the techno capital, it was actually during a trip to Munich that Anna was introduced to the world of electronic music. It was here that she discovered the exotic sounds of house music, which proved to be a turning point for her musical journey. She was captivated by the diverse sub-genres within house music, and it became a defining characteristic of her style - constantly diving and resurfacing through a multitude of sub-genres.

After falling in love with the endless possibilities of house music, Anna began DJing in 2012 to share the tracks she had collected and built up over the years. Her goal was to create immersive experiences and take her listeners on unique journeys through her sets. With a passion for music that runs deep, Anna continues to explore and experiment with new sounds, always striving to evolve and push the boundaries of what's possible within electronic music!

Anna Schreit is a Berlin-born DJ and producer known for sets that cut across genres with a mix of groove, grit, and edge. Growing up in a musical household – her father the frontman of East Germany’s cult art-rock band Stern Combo Meissen – music was never just background. For Anna, it was a way to make sense of things.

Raised in the middle of Berlin’s techno scene, it wasn’t until a night out in Munich that things really clicked: a chance encounter with house music lit the fuse. The rhythm, the warmth – it stuck. From there, she dove deep into sound.

Since 2012, she’s been building sets that go beyond the obvious. From sunrise slots at Sisyphos, to stripped-back live streams on HÖR or The Lot Radio, to records like her Duck EP on Compost, Anna brings a sound that’s raw, grounded, and unmistakably her.

One highlight: her ARTE Concerts set – a moment that took her sound to a wider audience without losing its edge. As a resident at Sisyphos, she’s become a steady presence in Berlin’s underground – not chasing trends, just playing with intent.

Anna was born and raised in Berlin, growing up with a musician father who had a successful band in the former GDR. Surrounded by a home recording studio, she developed an early fascination with music and took classical piano lessons from early childhood, which gave her a first understanding of musical structure and melody.

Despite living in one of Europes techno capitals, it was during multiple trips to Munich that Anna discovered the world of electronic music. She fell in love with house music, exploring a wide variety of subgenres from the deep grooves of Detroit and Chicago to the innovative sounds of the UK scene, always seeking new inspiration to shape her own unique style.

Anna began DJing in 2013, aiming to share her carefully curated tracks and create immersive experiences for her listeners. She also incorporates her own vocals into her productions, adding a personal and expressive touch to her sound. Over the years, her music has been released on labels including Compost and Live At Robert Johnson.

With a passion for constantly evolving her craft, Anna continues to experiment with new sounds and push the boundaries of electronic music, always striving to take her audience on a distinctive and emotional journey through her sets.
