Jollies world famous underground record label is at it again. March 18th marks the NYC based imprints 10th release, “Content Aware”. A 10 track various artist compilation, available on limited edition cassette and digital formats. The release will presumably be followed by a wave of global hysteria, a tectonic shift, and a brief period of peace on earth, before… well this is just a press release we can only see into the future so far.

In this self conscious age where delicately curated environments of aesthetic perfection set the stage for personal brands, "unique" and slick vignettes. Buildings exteriors, tattooed with logos, windows littered with product advertisements. Some motorist's entire voting history are mapped out along bumpers like a journal. Without recalling your own lunch you know what some of your friends or family eat and drink each meal of the day. Even Chalkboards in front of cafes, double as art galleries, riddle contests, and stand-up acts.

Deepfake technology affords us access to manipulated celebrity and politician likeness, basking in the uncanny valley of our own making. Artificial intelligence serves up targeted ads, bespoke to our tastes and interest, mined from data we distribute like Hansel & Gretel's breadcrumbs. Every surface considered and designed, all lines straight, all messages on target. Cybernetic feedback loops echoing into the chasm. In this embrace of being the product ourselves, we have reached Content Awareness.

This compilation celebrates diverse perspectives, from an international roster of artists who subvert the very medium itself.

It is about transportation of the senses: the frequencies, as metaphor for human senses, generate the visuals: from technology to nature, from analog to digital.

Turn Around is an audio and visual installation dealing with all senses, it is a digital hypnotic experiment .
It is a collaboration work wih Kritzkom, and we are absolutely psyched to premiere our art piece in the best club in the world: Berghain.
The sounds on the track are progressive, a mix of drones, trance noise and ambient rhythms that should be hypnotic as an entry into a psychedelic world where one feel and sees the sounds, the vibrations right on the skin.
The piece challenges our traditional sensorial perception: the frequencies, as metaphor for human senses, generate the visuals from technology to nature, from analog to digital.

We are pretty excited to host @Kaltes (Female pressure, Tresor) in our series. She is one of those artists with an atypical path in electronics and a strong devotion to arts and alternative music.
Her mix is impressively good. It will elegantly dip you in the darkest and hardest Techno territories and shows Kaltès skills to cluster her numerous influences in one deeply consistent piece of music. Starting with IDM and offbeat structures, you’ll soon discover huge and harsh kicks wrapped in eerie and almost shamanistic synth lines. The trip ends in the most beautiful manner; giving us that moment of spiritual-insight we are all looking for today.

Anna Otto:  A chance meeting between two musicians, one crazy for machines and one infatuated with sound, sparks the creation of dark, mysterious, and haunting techno tracks.

@Kaltes and @Kritzkom 's creative process began in the fall of 2010, after recognizing a common passion for sounds, machines, uncommon instruments, and the creation of atmosphere. Taking their friendship from the Berlin party scene to the studio was a natural progression, and quickly productive. Their tracks are inspired by nature more than anything else. Hunting, volcanoes, rain, forests, and crows have all made their mark on their upcoming album.
