Beyond the Mind sheds light on one of the great mysteries of thought, none other than the mind. This work is accessible to those approaching the author for the first time. It boils down essentially to the elaboration of the role of the “mind” in human evolution, where the “mind” must necessarily be distinguished by its freedom “from the historical conditioning of ideas and concepts”. Belief systems are discussed here as a subset of mental activity. Bernard de Montréal argues that the current awakening of consciousness naturally generates a dissociation between the collective consciousness and the subject. The individual has come face to face with the Cartesian definitions of modern psychology and therefore attempts to transcend contemporary notions of conditioned subjective “reality”. The author affirms the importance of a concrete and objective understanding of the nature of the soul and of thought, objective because free from any egocentric attitude. This understanding allows the “development of the supramental consciousness” or the awakening of the “conscious thought” which depends on it, in order to achieve “the integration of creative thought”. Many Druid rituals begin or end with singing or chanting the Awen. When doing so, the word is stretched to three syllables, sounding like ah-oo-wen. It is a powerful sound, that opens up the heart and soul. Sung/chanted together, or in rounds. Our hearts literally can open if we let them when chanting or singing the Awen.

So what is Awen?
In Druidry, the word, Awen loosely translated from Welsh, means flowing spirit, or flowing inspiration. Chanting Awen can be used to awaken our own energy, and encourage it to stretch out towards the energy of nature around us. It is an opening of one’s self, of one’s spirit or soul, in order to truly and deeply connect with the divine source of all life. 
Awen is an awareness, not just on a physical and mental level but on a soul deep level an awareness of the entirety of existence, of life itself. It is seeing the threads that connect us all. It is the deep well of inspiration that we drink from, to nurture our souls and our world and to give back in joy, in reverence, in wild abandon and in solemn ceremony.

Awen est une prise de conscience, non seulement au niveau physique et mental, mais au niveau profond de l'âme, une prise de conscience de l'intégralité de l'existence, de la vie elle-même. C'est voir les fils qui nous relient tous. C'est le puits profond d'inspiration dans lequel nous buvons, pour nourrir nos âmes et notre monde et pour redonner dans la joie, dans la révérence, dans l'abandon sauvage et dans une cérémonie solennelle.

Un morceau techno à 128 bpm avec des battements binauraux créés sur un logiciel : d'abord des fréquences inférieures à 8 hertz qui sont des fréquences de relaxation (le battement binaural va contraindre votre cerveau à émettre des ondes thêta, qui correspondent à une relaxation profonde par exemple). Peu à peu j'élève les battements binauraux à des fréquences plus élevées afin d'aller vers plus de concentration (ondes alpha) et enfin je redescends peu à peu à nouveau vers les ondes thêta pour finir en totale zénitude.
