Fortuna POP! (UK/Europe) and Slumberland Records (US/Canada) are proud to announce the new album by the Edinburgh based folk-rock troubadour Dan Willson who records as WITHERED HAND. “New Gods” is his stunning second album, following his critically acclaimed debut “Good News”.

Active in the world of visual art and dabbling in music for many years, Withered Hand’s Dan Willson came late to singing and songwriting at age 30, in a period of reflection between the death of a close friend and the birth of his first child. The resultant material, much of which went on to become the album “Good News,” has been praised for its depth and startling honesty.

Withered Hand has been embraced by Fife-based musical powerhouse the Fence Collective (whose sovereign King Creosote guests on the new album), seen his songs picked up on MTV and cult series Skins, and gained a legion of fans including Jarvis Cocker and Rolling Stone Magazine USA (who decreed him “Artist to Watch”).

A prolific live performer, recent Withered Hand shows have included collaborations with Pam Berry of seminal 90's US noise-pop band Black Tambourine and a rotating cast of musical friends embellishing Dan's exuberant and original songwriting alongside fragile and uplifting solo performances.

The long-awaited second album (produced by Tony Doogan – Mountain Goats/Belle & Sebastian etc - and part-funded by arts council body Creative Scotland) features guest appearances from the likes of Pam Berry, Eugene Kelly of The Vaselines and members of Belle & Sebastian and Frightened Rabbit.

The five years since “Good News” was recorded has seen Willson honing his songcraft, building his audience and gaining critical momentum. “New Gods” is a beautifully executed collection of songs from one of Scotland’s most gifted songwriters.

Chili Town was born in a friday afternoon. 
while drinking sangria we realized that if our songs were battles, we'll always end up being the injured soldier. 
then we were like "fuck it dude, why are we always the weak one in our lyrics??? what's wrong with us???" 
so yeaaaaahhh we made it! we wrote a winner song! ...right?
 
Chili was written exactly in the same place and way we wrote our first song ever, AND is gonna be released exactly with the same team that took care of it : Lucky Number music in Europe and Mom and Pop in the US. You can't imagine how proud and excited we feel :) .
It will belongs to our DEBUT ALBUM 8-)

Lost Map are excited to welcome latest signings Bas Jan, the London experimental post-punk trio built around the remarkable and distinctive voice and songs of multi-instrumentalist and composer Serafina Steer. A brilliant, bonkers, shape-shifting song about the weird tedium of a text message spat (“Drop it? Why don’t you drop it!”), Argument – available to stream and share now – is the first single to be revealed from Bas Jan’s forthcoming debut album Yes I Jan, due early 2018. The track was produced by Leo Abrahams. Serafina is one of the latest winners of the prestigious Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Awards for Artists.

Anna B Savage has always asked questions in her music, but on new album ‘in|FLUX’ answers are no longer her quest. Vulnerability and curiosity have consistently been operative words to describe her work and on her second album she ruminates on the complexities and variables of humanity, the pain or pleasure of love, loss and earthly connection, capturing it all in devastating, elating and powerful ways. 

The key difference between this and previous releases: she’s not anxious about what’s on the other side. She’s come to appreciate staying afloat - basking even - in the open ended, uncertainty of the grey area. She confidently explores lyrical themes and musical tones of duality - she’s a true artist and she’s given herself grace to believe that which has been audibly freeing.
