Producer Josh Grange (Sheryl Crow, k.d. lang) has brought a dreamy and evocative sound to Anne McCue. The recording is warm, analog and nostalgic, describing a dream of escape.

McCue and Grange had been friends in Los Angeles and recently crossed paths again in Nashville, where they are both now based. 

Josh Grange, who has played with Dwight Yoakam and k.d. lang, now plays pedal steel with Sheryl Crow. On some rare down time, McCue visited his ‘Resistor’ studio near Music Row, Nashville. 

“I played Josh a song I had written with David Olney and John Hadley. He suggested I put in a B flat chord and we were off and running. He became co-writer, producer and co-conspirator in a matter of minutes,” says McCue.

Anne McCue has recently been producing other artists including Scott Miller (The V-Roys), Emma Swift and Ellen Starski.  
She also filled the 4th band member guitarist slot on Robyn Hitchcock’s eponymous album (Yep Roc 2017) and has recently been touring 
as lead guitarist with Miller. 
“It’s nice to get back to my own thing again,” says McCue, “although I love working with other people on their music. It's exciting to have a new single out!" 

McCue also co-wrote the title track of David Olney’s latest album and is host of Songs On The Wire on WXNA fm Nashville.

The new single “Fall Through The Cracks” will be released on Flying Machine Records September 21st, 2018 with the video to be released shortly thereafter.

Born in Sydney and raised just southwest in Campbelltown, McCue has toured the world playing her music in Concert Halls, pubs and festivals. She has most recently been based in East Nashville, a thriving songwriting community on the Cumberland River's left bank.


Her music is included in Time Life’s ‘4 Decades Of Folk Rock’ alongside Bob Dylan, The Byrds, etc. and in Starbucks Artist Choice alongside Leonard Cohen, John Coltraine etc.

McCue has also produced other artists including Audrey Auld, Tracey Bunn and currently, Emma Swift and Anne is a talented sound recordist.
