Full disclaimer, this cover art is an old sketch Dave made back in high school that went through several iterations in photoshop over the years - and even though what we could come up with was half-decent, in the end we ended up using AI to add some of the clutter and fog in the scene. We think this is worth pointing out because of the whole 'AI MUSIC IS CANCER' thing. But you see, AI is just like the photoshop we use for the cover arts, or the DAW we use for the songs, it's a tool to help you. If the tool is doing everything then it's no longer the same thing, it's more like you are the one helping the AI.

And while we battle over stupid things in the Neo-Feudal Agoras of our choice (Facebook, Twitter, etc), our overlords, the corporate "dukes" and "viceroys" of today, have brought our tiny rock once again to the verge World War - inevitably, the last War.

World War II was caused by three autocratic states that sought to impose their systems on the rest of the world: Germany, Italy, Japan - and each started their own localized Wars that only turned into a World War once the United States became involved. Today, there are three autocratic states seeking to impose their systems on the rest of the world: China, Russia, Iran. Two of them, Russia and Iran, have directly led to localized Wars in Ukraine and Gaza, one of them a traditional War, the other a proxy War. The third localized War, is a mystery as it's not here yet. It could be between China, India and Pakistan over Kashmir, it could be between China and Taiwan. The former are three nuclear states, the latter will most likely warrant a counteroffensive by the US. Both, if taken to their ultimate escalation mean the end of the world as we know it.

Backwards (2025) - Rebellion and pride collide with faith
Most of us have broken peace with God at some point. Wrestling with the reality of the transaction that took place on the cross, inspired the creation of "Backwards". With relentless guitar riffs and emotional vocals, this alternative rock song captures the internal battle between rebellion and pride versus humility and obedience. We often feel like we must earn salvation, but God's grace and forgiveness come freely, turning our expectations backwards.

This track is the result of Andreas giving me four random chords, after which I received a vision of the sea around some forgotten ruins on the beach of a tiny picturesque village in Greece which turned out to be called Assini, although I'd never heard of it before.

It was composed by Roberto B on 20 September 2024 in MAGIX (initial composition, recording, arrangement and mix) and Alex M on 22 May 2025 in Logic Pro using AKAI keyboard midi input controller (subsequent composition, recording, arrangement and mix), with a final mix and recording on 8 June 2025 by Roberto B (in MAGIX), and released here on SoundCloud this Sunday afternoon (in Europe), 15 June 2025, together with the release of the whole album to follow in minutes. We hope you'll enjoy our new concept album in its entirety.

The artwork cover for the album and all its tracks combines a painting by Roberto B of 1 June 2022 (in the bottom part) with design and implementation in PowerPoint and Mac OS Preview by Alex M of 17 November 2024 - in coordination and agreement between the two.
