Han pasado 5 años desde la creación de la banda (2009), en todo ese tiempo los Ska Jazz Messengers han tenido que sobrellevar diversas vicisitudes a la hora de editar material en estudio, e incluso han tenido que sobrellevar cambios en sus filas. Es así como en este año 2014 la banda renace mostrando nuevas caras en su formación. Un comienzo “desde cero” con 7 músicos llenos de ganas, nuevos temas, nuevas energías y nuevas metas. Al line up de Raúl Guzmán en el bajo, Giuseppe Cammisuli en los saxos, Ronald Alvarado en la trompeta y Rafael Frías en la guitarra, se le suman 3 caras nuevas que dan un plus al sonido de los SJM.  Comenzando por Grey Hernández, joven cantante prodigiosa (vocalista de la Orquesta De Rock Sinfonico Simón Bolívar), el experimentado Gerardo Uberting en los teclados (quien fuera músico de la recordada agrupación Hora Cero) y el señor Osmel Vahamonde en la batería (uno de los bateristas más elogiados en la escena del Reggae Nacional).

Para mostrar el nuevo sonido de la banda, los Ska Jazz Messengers adaptaron hasta sus “aguas musicales” el famoso tema del cantante estadounidense Pharell Williams: Happy. Tras el re inicio de la banda y sin pensarlo mucho, ésta decidió hacer una grabación “casera” en su propia sala de ensayos y así fue como se le dio vida a esta adaptación, la cual está disponible a descarga digital GRATUÍTA. De ese modo es como los “Messengers” se presenta ante ustedes con una versión Neo Soul, Dancehall, Jazzy Ska de HAPPY.

Featuring several world exclusive premieres during his EDC Las Vegas set last weekend, Hardwell unveiled not just the first single (Arcadia) from his forthcoming, as yet untitled, studio album, but also his mesmerizing remix of Coldplay’s beautiful collaboration with Avicii ‘A Sky Full of Stars’.
 
Adding subtle touches, the Dutch megastar producer has succeeded in retaining the euphoria of the original, whilst giving the record a fresh progressive deepness, that sees it journey down a new, more club driven tone. Frontman Chris Martin’s voice is as dreamlike as ever, swelling alongside the song’s catchy pop-like melody, but the sprinkling of Hardwell’s signature sound gives the record another gear, transforming it into an anthemic masterpiece perfectly suited to the mainstage.
 
Personally invited by the label (FFRR/Parlophone) to remix the second single from their new album ‘Ghost Stories’, Hardwell said “I’ve long been a fan of the band so when I discovered they wanted me to remix one of the tracks from their new album, it was really a ‘wow’ moment for me. It’s such an honor and I’m really proud of the outcome of the track. When I dropped it at EDC Las Vegas, the crowd’s reaction was electrifying; it still gives me Goosebumps thinking about it!”
