This was a favorite song I learned and used while studying to become a Music Teacher at the University of Hartford, Hartt College of Music. At the time, I only knew of the musical benefits of singing in a round, I didn't know yet, of its ties to Literacy. I do now. Wow. See if you can pick a voice part, either is fine. 089: The Fungi Hunt with Ellen Holste

Last December, I started making a list of words from Tara Lazar's new book with Sourcebooks Kids, "Absurd Words' to use in this song. I fell in love with the book, the words, the stories behind the words, and also that it facilitated fun, weird conversations within my family, at friends houses, even at Starbucks.

 One of Tara's words, Blunderbuss, made one of my sound engineers GIGGLE every time he heard the word. He is generally a very serious guy.  He also learned a new definition of the word, so double word score, lol. Thanks to Walt Wilczewski & Chris Arms for their awesome engineering & guitar playing!

This song was written from the heart, in the spirit of Tara Lazar, Paul Williams & Kenneth Ascher, Kermit the Frog &  Lily Tomlin's Ernestine the Phone Operator, played with glee by Author Tara Lazar. Thank you for participating, Tara, and also for the joyful inspiration your book created.

I'm proud to say this is another STORYSTORM (The Musical Edition 2022) creation, which I finally finished writing, on the 29th of January.
