Bondax have been spearheading the sun-drenched, r'n'b-infused house sound for two years now.

First appearing on our radar two years ago with the woozy and instantly likeable 'All Inside' and sprightly 'Just Us', it's no surprise they've reached the world tour status they've been enjoying this year. The Lancaster boys - George Townsend and Adam Kaye - have spearheaded a contemporary house sound alongside the likes of Disclosure, firing out an alarming amount of dancefloor movers or straight up chillers, with 'Gold', Baby I Got That', 'Wet Summer' and latest single 'All I See' among the crisp and swinging tracks responsible for their rocketing success. Then there's remixes of Chromeo, Duke Dumont and Rudimental and a jam-filled set in the corner of our office.

Following on from Toddla T's killer first installment in 2011, Radio 1's underground dance music champion B.Traits steps up to deliver the second chapter in the Red Bull Studios Mixtape free download series. Volume II sees nine emerging artists and producers from house and techno to electro-pop, reggae and grime specifically create tracks for the mixtape under the supervision of chief curator, B.Traits. New producers, Hodge, Lewis Boardman, Palace and i-D Class of 2015 member Novelist all make an appearance, but now we press play on this beautiful downtempo number from Brownswood Records rising stars, Anushka. This is Waterlillies.

Premiere: Anushka - Waterlillies

Brownswood are delighted to announce that we have signed Cuban singer Daymé Arocena.
Daymé was part of the Havana Cultura Mix project, which saw Gilles Peterson mentoring selected producers from around the world to make a record in Cuba with local musicians. She auditioned, prompting all producers to decide they wanted to work with her... In the end, she sung on three tracks on the album, including the massive "U Knew Before”. Seeing huge potential in her, Gilles invited her to London to perform at the album launch event, where she enchanted the packed out audience, and it was decided she should record a solo project for Brownswood Recordings / Havana Cultura. The announcement brought out a loud, rich, infectious laugh instantly recognizable as Dayme’s deep and chocolaty voice. “My first record, here,” she squeals. “It’s a crazy dream.”
