This is a song I wrote and recorded in the back room of a desolate farm house outside Stellenbosch. It's a very raw, acoustic sound, bringing me back to my roots. I only have the gift of music to give so I wrote this to all the mothers of the world. Bless you.... and Happy Mothers Day, everyday.

This song is based on a true story about a woman called 'Ann Fitzgerald Rangle'. Her bones were found in a cupboard 10 years after she was declared dead/missing when her husband died. His family cleaned out his house and found her remain in the cupboard. Till this day no one knows if he murdered her or if she died of natural causes and he just could not let go of her. Her was said to be a heavy drinker and abusive at times. The found broken ribs in between the remains.

Nothing Left

This song portrays a love- hate relationship. It comes from a place of being stuck yet the desire to move on. It captivates a scene of a familiar place of letting go, but then longing to go back to the chaos that was once, deeply desired to escape from.
This song was written to channel those emotions which so many people experience in romantic relationships that don’t work. Instead of seeing them as a time to move on, we, in a Westernised culture, tend to hold on for dear life and miss the lesson that was meant to be learnt. This song, just like Ann Jangles’ first solo track called “Nothing Left” is an honest piece of work, making herself vulnerable. Even her voice comes across softer, more humble bringing about a sence of maturity. 
“REBEL” is written to every person who has ever fallen in love with danger OR has ever stupidly wanted to change another individual. This song is also a THANK YOU” to the people who without even knowing, has made us stronger.

Ann Jangle. Queen of the underground. Her ominous style of dark folk, electric rock, gypsy infused, theatrical, soulful style of writing & performing leaves a long lasting impression. She belts out her voice on stage like she was born there. This South-African born singer/ songwriter/ producer/ composer has performed her way onto a vast variety of stages all across Europe & Southern Africa and shares the stage with many different artists to bring a heartfelt performance that resonates.
Since the start of Ann Jangle, she has received a substantial amount of airplay and very good write ups all over South-Africa and Europe.
2012 gave way to the Debut album ‘acoustic archive’. With a very acoustic sound, deeply rooted in the blues. Ann’s love for Dark, underground sounds & odd music genres called her to a greater challenge, a deep desire to break free from a box and create her own style.
It was then that the much anticipated 2nd album “KICKING SAWDUST” launched in Cape Town, South-Africa in MARCH 2015, with a more powerful sound than ever before. On this album Ann is joined by an 8 piece band on different instruments including Trumpet, Celo, Banjo, Saxophone, Accordion and many more. It features some of South Africa’s finest talent and has featured on many Music Review Platforms such as ‘Kalulah Inflight Magazine’, ‘Kfm Radio’s Artist of the Week’, ‘Texx and the City Album Review’, ‘Wat Kyk Jy’, ‘European Music Bloggers Forum” and many more.

Since starting her career as a full time musician in 2011, Ann was solely based in Cape Town, South-Africa, but has recently relocated back from a 2 year journey in EUROPE where she spent her time touring, playing music in over 20 countries. She was mostly based in Berlin, Germany, as this was where her deep desire to gain more experience and knowledge of music internationally satisfied her most.
