52 days have passed since that Black Saturday.
The day so many of us lost friends, family, partners, loved ones. I lost my parents, and I don’t think it will ever fully sink in.

I want to share a story that I’m only now able to return to.
A few months before October 7th, I got a call from Naor Levi (DJ AudioPhiller).
He told me that he and his friends from 604 Freaks Records in Portugal had been enjoying my sets and wanted to talk.

Eventually, we had a call full of music, stories, connection, and love.
Naor and the label asked me to record a Goa/Retro set – a sort of welcome set to their family.
We kept playing at the same events over the summer, sometimes before or after one another – always with joy.

I finally found time to record the set, carefully selecting 20 tracks close to my heart.
That recording happened exactly one week before October 7th.
Naor and I agreed I’d send it to him on Sunday, October 8th – right after his weekend set at Unity and Nova Festival.
I had sent him the tracklist, but the set… we said, “after Saturday.. after Nova Festival.”

Just a few days before that dark Saturday, I visited my parents in Kibbutz Be’eri and told them about the label and about Naor.
They had always been part of my musical journey, front row at my sets – proud and present.

Then came the massacre of October 7th💔
My parents were murdered in Kibbutz Be’eri in the morning hours,
and Naor was murdered at the same time on his way to the Nova festival, outside the kibbutz where my parents lived.

Naor never got to hear the set.
My parents never got to see it released.
But I promised I would still share it – with them, to heaven.
And now, I’m finally doing that.

This set is dedicated to all those we lost – and especially to my dear parents and to Naor.
If old-school Goa sounds can bring you a moment of comfort, I hope this set does that.

It was like a dream. From the moment I was diagnosed with a form of Leukemia, my goal was to play music again. For months and months survival chances were not too big, and dj-ing was a far away fantasy. Untill Surya Spirits. A Belgian festival happening 10km away from the hospital. Almost 3 months I was in the hospital and the doctors understood the importance of this gig so they allowed me to play (and return immediately after). It was magic. It was fantastic. It was all I could dream of. It was... The healing power of music. It was raining cats and dogs untill I started to play (literally) and the sun broke through a few minutes after. The crowd gathered, stomping in the mud while smiling in the sun. I adapted my set to a euphoric, emotional, melodic story. Because that is how I felt in that afternoon sun. Celebrate life! And yes... I knew immediately, yes, this is one of the main reasons why I will heal! Of course there is still a long way to go, but if I am having a bad time, I put myself on the bed, close my eyes and bring the memories back of this gig. Sunshine, happy people and an energy I rarely felt before! Thank you lovely trance tribe, you gave me life and made my life rich! ❤

Anoebis - 20 Years Suntrip Morning Story

This is a 90-minute studio mix of MINDFIELD and associated projects with tracks from mid to late '90s. Mindfield was formed around 1993 through the collaboration of studio heads Simon Carman and John Ford with trance DJs Mark Allen and Chrisbo, partners in the seminal London Goa party, Pagan. Freshly returned from Goa, the group initially released two classic UK trance EPs, Life Is An Illusion and Solid State, on their homemade ASM label. They soon became key players in the emerging London Goa trance scene, debuting at the iconic Megatripolis party alongside a reading by the late shaman Terence McKenna. They also performed regularly at the groundbreaking trance night Return To The Source, sharing stages with artists such as Hallucinogen, Doof, Psychaos, Juno Reactor, and Man With No Name.  After about a year, Mark left the group to focus on Return To The Source and his new project, Quirk, with Tim Healey. Chrisbo joined Chris Dekker’s Medicine Drum alongside Andy Guthrie. This left John and Simon to continue as Mindfield, releasing their own tracks and collaborating with other artists in the scene, leading to the creation of Phantasm Records.  Tragically, Simon passed away in 1997 after a long battle with leukemia. Since then, John has carried on as Mindfield and as a solo DJ under the name John Phantasm. Over the past 20 years, he has traveled the world, performing at countless parties and events while hosting numerous Phantasm parties across the globe.
