Hannah Laing returns to Patrick Topping’s Trick with the ravey ‘Get Busy’.

Previously appearing on Trick’s ‘Tasty Techno’ compilation as well as on Sola, SOLOTOKO, and Spinnin’ Deep, Hannah Laing returns to Patrick Topping’s label with a two-track EP of high-energy pumpers. A masterclass in hands-in-the-air floor-fillers, both tracks see Hannah Laing reach for hooky vocal samples, heavy-hitting drums, and addictive synth lines, delivering some of her most accomplished work to date.

 “I like to think of my sets as fun, bouncy Techno and ‘Get Busy’ embodies this, a classic feel-good dance vocal with peak time energy. I actually bought the original Big Bass vs Michelle Narine version from my local record shop, Groucho’s in Dundee, when I was 15! ‘Mind Controller’ has been a mainstay in my sets recently, sampling one of my favourite hardstyle vocals, it shows the darker side of what I play. The spotlight continues to shine on the rising Belgian techno virtuoso, Anonymize, also known as Jesse Rossell, who makes a welcome return to Bonzai Records with the explosive four track EP titled 'Somebody Scream!'. Fresh from his last effort here with a solid remix of DSTRTD SGNL's 'Restart The Sun' Jesse's journey exemplifies being captivated by the electronic dance music allure at a young age, blossoming into a promising career. Anonymize stands as a beacon of anticipation for greater achievements in the years to come. A relentless artist, continually pushing the boundaries of creativity, he is poised to send reverberations throughout the electronic music world for many years to come. The EP opens with the title track 'Somebody Scream!', which gives us a taste of the chaotic techno goodness to come. Heavy pumping kicks, frenetic hats and a pulsating subby offset bass get us moving as a classic spoken vocal comes through leading to a massive build-up and thunderous drop. The perfect high energy groove to rock any party and festival. 'Beat That Melody' is up next, introing with a distinctive retro vox sound which is joined by thumping kicks and a raucous build-up before a mesmerizing melodic sequence takes over, giving way to a hands-in-the-air moment filled with energetically charged scathing synths that leads to a huge drop and back to those superb kicks. 'Come On!' opens with powerful, classic style heavy kicks which are joined by retro-themed vox and synths. The track is the perfect synergy between delicate melodies and raw, edgy hard techno that speaks to generations of the jump-style nature of the groove. 'Fuck You Hard' is a love song that ramps up the pace with a solid, punchy kick and spoken word intro. Classic downshifting synths combine with frenetic rave plucks and a frenzied percussion section to deliver a hard-edged groove that will keep bodies locked and the dancefloor rocking.

A hyperactive peak-time track that turns AM into PM and back to AM. And because real dads never rest, Marlon adds 'Daddy's Groove' to the mix. Combining his trademark percussion madness with ecstatic vocals, proving once and for all that he just can't stop, won't stop bringing the heat.

Anonymize is a symbol of future greatness, consistently innovating and expanding the limits of creativity, poised to make a lasting impact on the electronic music scene for years to come. Already he has amassed an impressive catalogue of original works and remixes for us at Bonzai, and we've no doubt we'll be seeing and hearing more from him soon. First up, 'XTC' propels us forward with its relentless kick drum and sharp hi-hat combination, accompanied by cool, penetrating vocals. Intensifying rave synths build tension before bursting into a powerful groove, leaving the dancefloor electrified. A massive track that will live up to expectations. 'Emotions' is up next, elevating the energy with a classic groove driven by heavy kicks and rhythmic percussion, laying the groundwork for captivating synth hooks that grab hold of your senses. The break draws us into the forceful riff before culminating in an exhilarating main section, perfect for those hands-in-the-air moments. A definite essential. Finally, 'Hot In The Club' takes a darker, more intense route with booming kick drums and gritty synths leading the charge. Cool vocal snippets add texture, while shuffling percussion keeps the rhythm alive. Dirty 303 lines weave through the groove, creating space and adding a rich dynamic to the sound. An absolute powerhouse, set to dominate the dance arenas.

Our next release features a banging remix of the club stomper One Finger by DJ One Finger. DJ One Finger is a collab between Austria's Christopher Just and Clemens Neufeld and UK Acid pioneer Tim Taylor. These guys were responsible for a number of now considered classic tracks and have released under various guises on a host of labels including Missile Records, Clockwork Recordings and Red Alert to name a few. Originally released on Planet Of Drums in 1996, this one became an instant hit with the spirited club fraternity. On remix duties we have the on-fire Anonymize who has stamped out a solid niche for himself in recent times, notably on Bonzai where he's been churning out some outstanding remixes alongside his debut – Zombie Woman. On the remix, he sticks with the simplistic nature of the original, swapping out the 808's with booming thumps that are sure to rock the bass bins alongside shuffling percussions that keep the rhythm flowing. Scattered with classic vocals and enormous hoover stabs, the groove is heavily influenced by that iconic main hook which is truly infectious on the dancefloor.

Belgian techno talent Anonymize returns to Bonzai Records with another superb three-track release titled Monster EP. This one follows hot on the heels of his last outing here with the very well-received XTC. Known for pushing creative boundaries, he continues to make waves in the electronic music scene. With a growing catalogue of original works and remixes, Anonymize is set to deliver more cutting-edge sounds as he heads into the festival season. DOPAMINE gets us underway, opening with punchy kicks, crisp hi-hats, and snappy rolling snares driving the rhythm. A high-energy main floor trance banger ensues with Infectious 303 acid lines twisting through airy melodies, while sharp claps and classic vox stabs bring a nostalgic rave edge. Built for peak-time euphoria, this one blends modern power with old-school vibes vibes. Elementz is up next, offering us a relentless hard dance powerhouse that opens with thunderous, reverb-soaked kicks and snappy rolling snare rolls winding up the energy. Infectious melodic vox riffs draw you in before the main break unveils haunting dark voices contrasted by shimmering, bright melodies, leading to a massive euphoric climax that guarantees dancefloor mayhem. Monster concludes the EP, introing with a haunting spoken vocal, setting an eerie tone before melodic choir notes drift in. Pounding kick drums drive the track forward, while sinister gated synths pulse through the mix, building an ominous atmosphere. As the tension rises, massive rave stabs explode into the forefront, delivering a fierce and electrifying groove. A dark and powerful hard dance anthem, not to be missed.

The brotherhood of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W and Ummet Ozcan have clubbed together to release a beast that had been dormant since the turn of the new millennium. ‘Candyman’ was the creation of Belgian DJ Da Boy Tommy and was a single that would sweep clubland with its terrifying resonance. Whilst many may have thought it was buried away, never to be heard again, the collective of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W and Ummet Ozcan decided to reignite the ‘Candyman’ for Halloween with a special 2020 remix!

The original ‘Candyman’ was a #1 single in the Flemish Ultratop 50 chart and has become a classic jumpstyle anthem ever since its release back in 2000. Drawing musical inspiration from Mike Oldfield’s legendary ‘Tubular Bells’ music fans have rushed to the dancefloor to unleash havoc each time it has been played at festivals and clubs around the globe.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the titans of the electronic world have been busy in 2020 with studio releases that include a collaboration with Kosovan DJ Regard on ‘Say My Name’ currently at 24 million streams on Spotify, as well as a release with Mexican singer/influencer Kim Loaiza and Azteck titled ‘Do It!’ Which stormed TikTok with more than 215 million views. Dutch duo W&W have kept the music flowing in 2020 with cuts such as ‘Clap Your Hands’ with Fedde Le Grand, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as their more recent single ‘Rave Love’ on Armada Music. Ummet Ozcan is an artist who is never without creative material from his current single ‘Underdog’ to ‘Toast Hawaii’ to ‘Fight Back’ and ‘Seesaw’, he’s kept his output active and exciting!

Anonymize is the brain child of Belgian DJ and producer Jesse Rosseel. A rising star in the nu rave/hard edged techno scene, he’s been raising his profile to new heights and carving a solid niche for himself over the last number of years. It all started when he was very young, he found a passion for music thanks to his family’s musical background. He began playing drums, but in 2014 he was caught by the DJing bug at a festival, which soon led to him getting his first gigs in and around Belgium and ultimately onto the stage at the hugely popular Legacy Festival. Inspired by leaders in the techno scene, he started to create his own music and in 2016 he secured his first release and soon found himself on labels such as Ithica Records and Cherrymoon Records. His foray onto the bigger stage came about after he decided to remix the famous ‘The House Of House’ by Cherrymoon Trax, but it would take some perseverance and a desire to succeed before his remix was noticed by the mighty Bonzai Records. That persistence paid off, in early 2022 he secured his Bonzai debut with the superb ‘Zombie Woman’. Big remixes on huge tracks such as ‘One Finger’, ‘The Machine’ by Jens Lissat & Bonzai All Stars, ‘Producelast’ by Trancescape and ‘The Searcher’ by DJ Furax soon followed, with his interpretation of ‘The Machine’ – along with remixes by Push and Kai 5 - getting a vinyl release in 2022. He’s an artist who is always working hard to push his creativity to its limits, so he can continue to send shockwaves through the electronic music world.
