20+ years of Moontribe has meant many ups and downs, we have seen weddings there, a death, and a couple of memorials for community members who have passed on way before we wanted them too. This was the most intense of all Moontribes for me as we celebrated the life, and came to grips with the recent death, of our sweet and loveable friend, Nico Rojas.

This 3-hour set was played between 10:20am and 1:20pm on Saturday, October 18, 2013. Emotions ranged from light - being engaged in a marshmallow fight with friends on the dancefloor, to heavy - open grieving on the dancefloor with the music playing. The music also reflects this play between light and more somber/thoughtful energies, one of the best I've played and certainly the most emotional.

If you can, please listen to this set in its entirety as I have tried listening to parts and it really doesn't work as well. Try it on a long drive, cleaning the house, or when working through some issues .

Finally, send some love to Nico, to his brother Mauricio, and mother, Lisa, and all his family and friends who miss him dearly in this world. Both the music and the way it is mixed were meant as in memory of his life and in honor of his loving spirit.

So, I did a Guest Mix about a year ago, for the awesome 'Endless Theories' podcast, hosted by the one and only, a very talented DJ and Producer from Mexico - Isaac Escamilla, but, somehow, I never uploaded the mix to my SoundCloud. So.. here it is. A nice, warm cup of Progressive and Tech house, with a sprinkle of Techno on top, tastefully decorated with a goodie from Hybrid and flawlessly mixed by yours truly ;-)

Here is my set recorded for the Storytime COVID19 series of live streams (with some minor tweaks). I really enjoyed the opportunity to play a set full of music that I love and go on a journey without the psychology of a dancefloor. I love how this turned out & have played around with the original version a bit to draw out some of the transitions to make the mix flow better. Seeing as I love the music in this one so much I know I'll be listening to it myself a lot, so thought I'd might as well make it sound the way I wanted.

Anonymous Prankster has become a lot less anonymous over recent years. The man has been making waves within the Western Australian scene, both as a DJ and promoter. As head honcho of the TAONS brand, he has been credited as playing a key role in revitalising the melodic and progressive house/techno scene in Perth. Further to this AP is also known for his work as theme camp lead for the iconic Blazing Swan theme camp God Said No, as well as the man at the top of Western Australia's Blossom Festival, which had it inaugural year in 2019. 

As a DJ, Anonymous Prankster is all about deep and progressive vibes. Melodic music at it's finest. AP will take you on a journey through his sets comprising of powerful, emotive tunes which are a story within themselves. Having supported the likes of Eelke Kleijn, Way Out West, 16bit Lolita’s, Animal Trainer, Laurent Garnier, Pan-Pot and Extrawelt, Anonymous Prankster is certainly one to watch.
