When I was just a child, my mind was full of dreams 
of who I wanted to be, the me that never faced defeat

I go to classes in the hopes of a career that I don’t give a shit about

then I see my family’s portrait, look deep into their eyes 
and I realize what a fool I’ve been,

Now I’m back, I was gone for too long, 
I finally found- a hill I’m willing to die on
so I know, that no matter how far my mind goes, 
I’m gonna be the champ in these games my brain plays
had to get a retake, but I passed my test, climbed out of the deepest pit I fell in yet
I’m standing up with my back straight, moving forward past my yesterday
middle finger to the sky, gonna take my miles, running so fast I got a dust cloud behind-
I had a date with insecurity, she told me that she’d never leave me
I told that bitch that’s fine, I’m gonna make you mine, I told her that her presence was motivating
said she could move to my complex, join fear and anxiety too
