Coming for Your Love

Written, recorded, and performed by Artie Norton using MultiTrack DAW, BeatMaker 1, AmpKit, GarageBand, Animoog, AmpliTube, AudioBus, and AudioMastering. I put the beat loops together in BeatMaker 1 a few years ago and added the guitars in AmpKit. I returned to it with some simple piano in GarageBand about a year ago. After another year, I finally "finished" it in MultiTrack with vocals through AmpliTube and a synth from Animoog both via AudioBus. After all these years, I still like a sleazy lyric.

I posted another version of this song which I wasn't happy with, so I replaced the drums with a set of dry acoustic drum loops from The Loop Loft. I had to a bit of editing, but I'm pretty happy with the groove and results. I also played a new bass part, added some harmony vocals and remixed. She's My Girl

Written, recorded, and performed by A. Norton. I wrote this song over 20 years ago but never recorded it. It was the first song I wrote about my wife, Cindy, who was not yet my wife when I wrote it. I love her even more all these years later. I used MultiTrack DAW, GarageBand, and AmpKit to record the vocals and instruments. Additional mastering was done in the AmpliTube for iPad app. I imported a bunch of acoustic drum loops into GarageBand for iOS, which is an easy way to get quick drum sounds down. I'm using the Blue Yeti USB microphone for vocals and acoustic guitar and the Apogee Jam as an interface for the electric guitar and bass. All recording, mixing, and mastering done on my iPad 2.

Key to the Highway

Written, recorded, and performed by A. Norton. This is a reworking of the other version I have on my page.  I sang it again, added drums, bass, and an electric guitar. It was written twenty or so years after I wrote "Forever", which is also here on my page. Both songs are written about the same woman, my wife Cindy. Recorded, mixed, and mastered on my iPad using MultITrack DAW, GarageBand for iOS, ThumbJam, and AmpKiit apps.
