Energetic, innovative and versatile, are just a few words you can choose to describe the prolific sound Lis Sarroca has been propelling in recent years, continuously drawing influences from her half Spanish, half Mexican background, and sprinkling in flavours from her current city of residence, Barcelona. 

Whether tuning in to one of her genre melding DJ sets around Europe and beyond, her storytelling online mixes for the likes of HÖR Berlin and Rinse FM, or whether you find yourself absorbing her tight and emphatic productions - you will undoubtedly feel the Sarroca effect.

Labels that have succumbed to the sounds of the Barcelona based artist of late are Hot Haus Recs, the famous Mobilee Records, and Aterral, to name just a few from her catalogue. During the forthcoming period Lis has signed and sealed releases with Simplexia, and simultaneously a carefully created six track vinyl package on the fantastic Shall Not Fade imprint entitled 'No Wait’, in which Sarroca mixes classy 90s house rhythms with standout melodies.. Despite dabbling in variations on dance music, stripped back disco to punchy tech house rhythms, this record is accomplished and consistent, coming together to deliver memories of sweaty summer club nights.

2021 will also mark the inauguration of Lis’ own label Maai Records, as she continues to craft the foundations of whatis set to become an exciting brand for slick and forward thinking club orientated sounds from herself, friends, and fellow artists, all of whom are accelerating in the same direction as herself. Adding to this year Chiwax/Rawax is
welcoming Lis with a 4 track record, coming in September.

Rhythm is the creative platform for Aberdeen based DJ / Producer Andy Buchan.  The project combines a club night, podcast, production and DJing aswell as a strong emphasis on collecting records and playing music with longevity.  Records that will stand the test of time!

To date his productions have found a home on 124 Recordings with a vinyl only VA aswell as digitally on Clip.Art and Ship City Grooves.  He can be found playing regularly around Scotland at clubs, festivals and warming up for artists such as Chaos In The CBD, Horse Meat Disco, Mella Dee, Purple Disco Machine, Brawther, Ejeca and Robert Owens in his home town.

I knew at some point there would be a mix being featured on my page from Michael. From his first release, I discovered his music and fell in love with the art, and grew extremely fond of the artist. Michael Diamond is one of the best people I've had the pleasure of supporting over these last few years, and his methodology behind his music something to be respected. 

His skills and taste in music have evolved immensely since I've known him and this mix does an amazing job of showcasing that. When I approached him with the offer, he presented the idea to take you all on a journey through the time that he and I have known each other. Starting with some of his earlier Jazz house productions and finishing with complexity and chaos in the realm of Jungle/Breaks. Truly a magnificient journey I'm delighted to share with you all.
