YuYu is a collaboration between Colorado artists Cualli and Omega.  Lush soundscapes and intricate melodies blend with ultra funky basslines and bangin percussion, creating a sound that defies categorization, but will surely rock any dancefloor.  Utilizing their skills as both live musicians and electronic producers, YuYu shows combine the best of the two worlds: crisp production and masterful live playing.  Though the fusion of live instruments with electronic production could be lumped in with the "jamtronica" trend, one listen will reveal that this duo is a true standout in that scene.  The level of technical precision in the composition and playing is enough to set YuYu apart, but they also bring an unmatched level of sound design and production wizardry rarely seen among live/electronic hybrid acts.  Their debut album One came out on the legendary Addictech Records on April 7.

Spring Tube's 179th release is the next full single for the tracks from our latest sampler.

After releasing with us four remix works during three years, one full single past year ("You Got Me" w/ remixes by Kobana and Telekollektiv), and most recently his Artist Choice release on Spring Tube AC, one of Swiss finest artists and one of our most valuable residents Da Funk this year presents his second full single with us - "Ruffle Up". 

Besides the great original in the best traditions of Da Funk's unique sound the pack includes two massive remixes! First is the legend Subsky who returns on Spring Tube after remixing for us Stephen J. Kroos' "Pluviophile" nine months back, and again we have here the brilliant masterpiece from him! The second remix deliver one of our most devoted residents who are with Spring Tube already more than six years - Blood Groove & Kikis, and their already thirteenth remix work for us is splendid of course as always from these guys!

Its been a while since I last put together and recorded a mix, so I thought I would make it a bit more Full On then usual. I like progression in my mixes, so as you listen through this, the sounds and styles will get more and more progressively full on! 

The mix has been made from a selection of tracks and artists I have been really enjoying listening to over the last 8 months (see tracklist below). Some fresh off the press, others have been around for a while! The Smirnoff Sound Collective is global initiative celebrating diversity and inclusivity in electronic music. Along with other members of the collective and key industry mentors, Amtrac and Meli were brought together for a creative retreat at Rancho V studio complex Joshua Tree, California in December 2016. 'Some Of Them', the second release from the Smirnoff Sound Collective, is a powerfully raw and funky tune that is out on Amtrac's OPENERS imprint on April 21.
