Following their 2017 debut 'When U Go', Girls Of The Internet make a blissful return to Classic Music Company with 'Sound Asleep'. Carving out a specialism for midtempo, pop-tinged house grooves, the collective headed up by Tom Kerridge demonstrate an ear for exquisite harmonies once more on this new release. As a soft, lilting beat and sultry guitar riffs form the backdrop to the dreamlike vocal, Kerridge's ever present, informed disco and soul influences radiate on this heavenly return to Luke Solomon's label.

Girls Of The Internet return to Luke Solomon’s imprint with the tender house track ‘Affirmations’. Their debut release on Classic in 2017, ‘When U Go’, established the group as ones to watch, and in the six years since they have connected house, soul, disco and garage into one recognisable and modern aesthetic. The sweeping cut features vocals from the experienced and versatile Anelisa Lamola, who established herself in the 2021 musical ‘The Color Purple’ and closed BBC Radio 1’s Dance Weekend the following year. 

‘Affirmations’ was co-written by burgeoning UK soul star Sophie Faith, with soulful lyrics supported by an uplifting string quartet arrangement that leaves a lasting impression. With their 2020 album ‘Girls FM’ gaining support from the likes of Pete Tong and The Blessed Madonna, the house band, spearheaded by Tom Kerridge deliver another striking release on Classic.

French hitmakers Oden & Fatzo return to Defected alongside frequent collaborator THEOS with ‘Only You’ featuring Noa Milee. 2024 marked an incredible year for Oden & Fatzo, who soared to new heights with the release of summer smash ‘Tell Me What You Want’ with Poppy Baskcomb. The now Defected staple earned over a thousand spins across UK radio alone, culminating in a live PA with Poppy at Defected’s Ushuaïa Ibiza residency. Returning to the studio for their next release, Oden & Fatzo enlist fellow genre-crosser THEOS, a producer and DJ who previously joined the trio for RAW EP in October 2023 - also returning from RAW is Noa Milee, a French vocalist and songwriter on the rise. ‘Only You’ is the product of a strong collaborative mindset, with the joy felt in the studio apparent throughout the house-laden, synthy record.
