This is a hybrid bassdrum I made from two 808 and 909 samples 

My goal was to create a kick that combines the best of both worlds – the rich sub bass ooomph of the 808, and the powerful transient of the 909, which cuts through the mix much better than a soft 808.

I first used this kick on my 2020 Bedrock release "Burn Your Love" – check it out!

A mix can also be a rebrand. In her own words;

"This mix with DHM was a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of my current favourite tracks and kick off a new era and brand! The new brand is a natural progression from the original name (Misbe - which I came up with at university!) with the Be. Coetir means woodlands in Welsh, where my grandfather is from. Also where the musical side comes from! I think music is deeply healing, just like nature, and my main purpose in music and DJing is to allow people to heal and find joy in connection, dance and music."

This mix has a few low key bangers scattered in it - the new Leon Vynehall release was a pleasant surprise. Dropping a Leon Vynehall track in your set instantly elevates you above the myriad of tech-house-chapel-street USB-jays out there. It shows refinement, and good taste in the musical sense. "The Sad Piano" is also a sublime and melancholy moment.

You can catch @be_coetir playing festivals in Hawkes Bay over the coming summer.

ANouch is an electronic music DJ and producer based in Lausanne, native from Liège, Belgium. ANouch has been in love with music since she was young, and at the age of 15, she discovered electronic music and her first influences: Jeff Mills, DJ Rush, and Miss Kittin & The Hacker. A few years later, she started deejaying and bought her first vinyls.
Since then, ANouch has been a leading figure on the international electronic scene, performing in cities such as Berlin, Paris, Bangkok, Lisboa, in Belgium and across Switzerland, including Zürich, Basel, Geneva, and Lausanne. In 2018, her passion for music led her to explore music production. Her compositions have been released on various labels, including the latest "Jean Yann Records" based in Berlin. Her EP "Firefly" released in 2022 was ranked among the best selling Beatport.
ANouch's sets are characterized by her ability to mix Electro, Dark Disco, Indie Dance, and Deep Techno to create a unique blend of original sounds that immerse the audience in an emotion exalted by a well-presented and melodic rhythm. Her leitmotiv is to take her audience on a journey and tell a story through her music.
With a passion for music that shines through in her performances and compositions, ANouch has established herself as a rising star in the electronic music scene.
