About Porsche Drive 911: Kids always have times when they are fascinated by a special thing for some weeks or month. In 2015 and parts of 2016 for Ansgar and his brothers and sisters this was Star Wars. This explains why his first two tracks were Star Wars related. In the summer of 2016 Ansgar found a new fascinating thing just for himself namely sports cars, especially Porsche. So it was obvious his next composition would refer to Porsche cars somehow.

This made it easy for him to make a few decisions about the structure of the track just before starting the work on it. Can you imagine a slow track about Porsche cars, or something soft and smooth? No? Your are right! So it was clear from the beginning this time he had to do something fast and hard musically.

When he started the work on it in late autumn it soon turned out he would go on with the style of his first track, the coverversion of the Imperial March but just a trace faster and harder. Ansgar also added some new ideas and influences. With Porsche Drive 911 he invented sampling and vocoder sounds and for the first time you can hear his voice in his music.

Porsche Drive 911

Soon after the release of Porsche Drive 911 Ansgar felt the recording didn´t sound as punchy and tight as he wanted it to be. The cause was his Volca Beats drummachine lacking single outputs for each sound. Especially the Volca Beats bassdrum was much to smooth. 
The solution was to take a Bassdrum from his Yamaha DJX-1 keyboard and to sample this and all other drumsounds into the Akai Z4 sampler and adress them to single outputs for a much better mix.
So here is the improved version of Porsche Drive 911.

Porsche Drive 911 - motor race mix

Finally here is "Nature storm", Ansgars new piece of music. After two tracks about Star Wars and one about Porsche this time he did something about nature. At first he wanted to compose an only quiet and relaxing track but finally just the first two minutes became like this. Later the track developes into more dynamic and stormy music.

It took almost one year to finish this track because of rebuilding his studio, some technical problems, some personal issues and Ansgar concentrating on his first small live performances last year. For the next new track his fans won´t have to wait that long because he is already working on two new pieces of music.

On 2nd October 2018 Ansgar and Claus met themselves for the first time.
Claus knows and loves Ansgars music since a few month and played him many times in his radio show. During this years hiking holiday we had the opportunity to visit Claus.

After a few hours of getting to know each other Claus showed Ansgar his music studio. When Claus was outside the studio for a few minutes Ansgar started to compose a piece of music on three tracks spontaneously. He first played a wonderful chord progression and later improvised the beautiful female voice melody.

Claus immediately liked what Ansgar composed and had the idea to make a collaboration from it. So Claus repeated Ansgars 2 minutes part and added some sounds, arranged and mixed it. Claus treated Ansgars composition very respectful and just added a few things, instead making it his track. Well done Claus, thank you very much.

The result is the wonderful relaxing New Age track you are just listening to.

The cover is also made by Claus Jahn and has its own little story. On the way to Claus home we were much to early and decided to visit a nearby nature reservation with some interesting lakes. I took the photo of Ansgar at the Albertsee (near Dönges) and maybe it was the moment in autumn´s nature which inspired Ansgar to the music he composed a few hours later.
