Since the 90s, the characteristic 303 acid sound has been one of the main elements in most electronic DJ sets. We dedicate a series of online mixes from talented artists, which will contain those smiley-facing sounds. Electro, techno, rave, breakbeats, house, acid acid acid! Every month, a 1-hour acid mix will be uploaded on our Soundcloud!

Our 25th On Acid Mix comes courtesy of the ever-vibrant DJ Ansjowvis — a Rotterdam-based force known for her genre-blurring energy and percussion-driven sound. This mix is the perfect warm-up for what’s coming next: a full-throttle acid set alongside fellow DJ iMarly at our club night this weekend the 31th of May in Club3 Haarlem. 

Expect breaks, ghetto house, trippy techno, and a hint of Latin core — all woven together in a hypnotic, high-energy ride. The mix gives you a taste, but trust us, it’s only the beginning.

Ansjowvis is known for her genre-fluid style. The Dutch/Colombian DJ, born and based in Rotterdam, first made her mark with ghetto house sets and was one of the few who brought this sound back to the forefront in her city. Today, her sets move through underground currents of breaks, electro, trippy techno, ghetto house, and, as an ode to her heritage, latin core.

Her performance at OBERHAUM was a masterclass in rhythm, driven by percussion, hard kicks, hypnotic basslines, and infectious grooves. The mix flowed between breaks, bass, dub, and jungle, building from dreamy textures into in-your-face basslines and high-tempo pulses. Sometimes subtle, sometimes not, but always charged with raw energy.

Ansjowvis is a Rotterdam based DJ known for her high energy and genre fluid style. Switching it up between ghetto house, ghettotech, trance, bubbling, and trippy tribal sounds, she motivates the crowd to move their body and shake some ass on the dancefloor. 

Outside of the club, she tells a story aiming to being the listener along on a journey. Hosting her own show Water Tower Ollie at PIP radio, she will be inviting DJ’s to research a certain theme and make a thought-out set regarding the theme. 

Next to DJing, Ansjowvis is a marketeer in (electronic music) nightlife/clubs (160K), vinyl collector, working as a freelancer for different events (Hard Attack, Hysteria) and overall is heavily involved within the techno scene.
