Ansley grew up in Atlanta, the youngest of four kids in a very athletic, competitive, sports driven household.  But when she showed no interest in following in the footsteps of her siblings, her mother enrolled her in singing and music lessons at a young age. "I just didn't care about playing competitive sports like all of my other siblings, and my parents agreed to support me in my divergent interest- which has always been music. I have been playing the piano and singing for as long as I can remember." At the age of 7, Ansley started piano lessons, and also getting vocal lessons at the renowned Jan Smith Studio (Usher, The Band Perry, Justin Bieber) under the tutelage of Lisa Rosemond. Lisa recalls, “From the time she was little, Ansley was destined to be an artist.  Her songs display a maturity that goes well beyond her years.”
 
Writing songs just came naturally to her. Ansley explains, "Music gets me through the toughest times. I sit at the keyboard when I can't sleep and write about things that are on my mind. And when I would play my songs for my friends, I realized that they could relate to what I wrote and it made them feel better. That's when I decided that I wanted to put my music out to a wider audience and try and reach more people. Growing up the youngest in a large competitive family, sometimes it's hard to make your voice heard- and music was my way of doing that."  Her eponymous debut EP "Ansley" is a collection of songs about teenage romance and breakup. "At 15, people are always telling me that I am too young to have a "real" relationship. While my relationships and boyfriends may not seem "real" in the context of the adult world, the feelings of excitement, nervousness, and the sadness and hurt of breakup are all very real feelings to me, and these songs express that." Her debut EP showcases Ansley’s flair for memorable melody inserted into modern pop beats. One listen and you will find yourself singing along with this rising star.
