Anson Ong has been actively serving in the Christian music ministry for about 25 years or so, and added to that, ever since picking up the bass guitar 20 years ago and thereafter "embracing" it as his main stage instrument, he has also been occasionally involved in the industry circuit, whereby he used to be a replacement bassist for some other famous bassists who did hotel lounge gigs in the Klang Valley in the past. Added to that, he was also involved in a few private functions backing other famed and upcoming commercial musicians around the Klang Valley.

Added to that, he has also embarked on a music arranging career since 1999, being part of a jingle production house for a little over six years before moving on into his own outfit, F-Clef Chronicles Music Productions in April 2006. Amongst music arrangements he was involved in include TV and Radio Commercials of Enfagrow, Kao, Canon, Naza, Kayu Sugi just to name a few from many other commercial projects he was involved in. He was also involved in music arrangement for Capricorn Connections' Christmas Albums in the years 2000 and 2002.

Within the Christian music front, he has also been involved in bass playing, music and choral arrangements plus songwriting for DUMC musicals, namely "Love Lights Up The World"(2001),"A Christmas Tail"(2002), "Peace Child" (2003), "Shanghai Reborn" (2004) as well as two album recordings ("In This City" and "Savior Friend in 2009 and 2011 respectively) with DUMC's worship ministry named Resonate. On the secular front, he also recomposed a few songs from the Canticle Singers' Musical in 2006, "Refugee: Images". He also twice musically directed DUMC's Campus Youth Zone's Christmas Caroling parties. Added to that, he also participated in the year 2005's Malaysian Revival Songwriting Contest in which he won the first runner-up spot in the Inspirational Vertical Category through his song, "There's Abundant Love" which was also featured in the gospel album, "Carbon", published by Star Maker Enterprise. He has also since late 2005 been involved with another international Christian Music Ministry, the Children of God Ministry (COG Music) in the area of album recording (his grooves can be heard in the 2006 album, "To Walk Along With You" as well as 2009 album, "On The Green, Green Grass") as well as occasionally touring mainland China to train and equip Christian musicians there for praise and worship purposes, besides live Christian music sessions with COG Music in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mainland China.
