"There are many things that cannot be taken away from our Breton friends, and their love for free and unconditional partying is definitely one of them. This love, few people transmit it just as well as DICA behind his machines.

From the enthusiasm of his first raves around 10 years ago to his current live performances, it must be said that the artist from Rennes seems to have come a long way. Strongly influenced by the acid vibrations emerging from the other side of the Channel, it is through Acid UK and flagship labels of this movement that he finds the impulse for creating his own music, and quickly surrounding himself with an analogical arsenal.

Groovy rhythms, frenetic TB303 and other english alike and oldschool sounds that we find mingled a few years later in an overboosted and perfectly driven hard-techno live.

This EP comes to us straight from his blazing live set, with rolling acid lines and kick/basses that will drive you straight to hell and back."

While looking for sounds on Youtube, I came across the "Legend b - Lost in love" sound, I loved it, normal ahah, except that for me it lacked a lot of punch, and size, that's why, with all the respect I have for the original work, I allowed myself to make a rave edit, adding a more punchy kick, drums, pads, ambiences, and a speech about the place of women in the world.

LULU is a young french artist based in Paris, France. Inspired by old school rave sounds and more singular styles such as rap, dubstep and and rock, he brings us a 3 track EP where his influences can be easily discerned. 'Wake Up It's Your Time' incorporates groovy but ghetto vocals, while the next two tracks bring us back to the roots of the rave sound. The EP is completed by a legendary remix by the timeless icon Mark EG, who became famous beyond the borders of Britain with his interest in so many different styles of electronic music.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere three tracks off the upcoming compilation, The Definition Of Neorave from Rave Alert Records. The Belgian imprint has been at the forefront of the Neorave sound since the beginning and now the founder X&trick has compiled a 12 track v/a which features some of the best and brightest of the movement. Today we present tracks from VCL, Studio Dondert and Bangbass. Each track represents different elements that make up the neorave sound from VCL’s acid laced “Engergizer” to the hard dance punishment of Studio Dondert’s “Gabber Stanley” to Bangbass’ high tempo “Ether”. We’ve been fans of the label for a while now and this is another great entry to their catalogue.
