I had this demo lying around for over half a year to eventually make it to release.

I guess it's a very personal vibe, associatively reminding me of long reflections at the cottage, walks in the woods and fields. When I'm left to my own thoughts, beautiful sunsets along the line of my favorite river and flashbacks to the past future and present. And what associations do you have when listening to this? One of a host of exciting production talents being showcased on Anjunadeep for the first time in 2011, Suspect 44 announce themselves in fine style with 'Japanese Schoolgirls'.

The Original Mix begins at a steady pace with a dose of heavy, moody basslines before bursting into sunshine and throwing out a wave of melodic hooks and gorgeously glossy synths that quite simply won't let you go. The centrepiece, however, is a clever minimalistic vocal chop-up that wraps itself around the track and instantly evokes the title theme.

Russian star PROFF stamps his signature sounds all over this remix, a sublime rework that follows on from his recent hit 'Interstellar'. Hypnotic, sun-kissed and with plenty of trademark PROFF low-end on the breakdown, it fuses perfectly with the indispensable elements of the original to create a true summer smash.

Equally adept at providing us with tracks tailor-made for everyone's favourite season, Answer42 work up a lighter, more laidback and easy flowing alternative to the mixes that it follows.

Lastly, and in keeping with the Japanese theme, we have another fresh new track, 'Minato'. A drifting stutter vocal and airy, tiptoe melodies are draped over the top of a deceptively heavy groove on this more introspective number.

In anticipation to his long-awaited artist album, Japanese artist Yusuke Teranishi treats us to another gem, 'Starry skies'. Give into the mellow, romantic sounds of the dusk as we gaze directly into the soul of the blue yonder. As expected, the original mix is an atmospheric melodic piece, mixing deep interwoven piano themes with solid rhythm and an uplifting and hopeful vibe. Mesmerizing. The package is completed by two wonderful remixes by Netherlands-based talent Vince Forwards, which strips his production to a meditating piece with a haunting breakdown and US meloprog wizard, Z8phyR, that brings forth a rendition that exudes warmth and joy. Close you eyes and open your senses with the lovely new 'Starry skies' by Yusuke Teranishi, backed by Vince Forwards and Z8phyR.
