It's March! It's Women's History Month and although we know that women deserve to be celebrated every damn day, we still wanted to dedicate this month's show to the badass women in music.

@Loner_online crew who’ve been pushing boundaries with their VR events.

ILL DE CABEZA / 1NDV is an incredibly talented artist who delivers music in the realms of FootworkJungle/Juke/Footwork/Ghettotech and has mixed up a banging batch of high-energy beats to get us through the rest of the month. They’re the host of an event and radio show called FM BONG KNOW which is an independent move based in Japan. I was very happy to be invited back to play at Hausmania Kulturhaus in Oslo, Norway with the @skankinOslo crew! 

Introducing Norweigans to UK underground rave actually went better than I had anticipated, they love techno and dnb over there so I wasn't sure how my mixed-genre set would go down, but the crowd went berserk <3

(I still need to learn how to do spinbacks properly hahaha... this is, as always, a completely unedited live mix record, so there are some errors. We are all human :-p )

Having been a part of the scene for over 10 years, @bleachld first appeared as a DJ in 2019 when she began doing mixes for @radiobollwerk. After gaining recognition for her selection, gigs followed and she eventually started running her own club night together with Dubtopia founder @phrex at @kapitelbollwerkbern. Klubtopia is the little unruly sister of the legendary event series and is all about bass music.

Her mix is a beautiful hour-long journey through all the darker spheres of the bass music universe.

It opens with ethereal soundscapes, to then discover different melodies and drum patterns, while a wobbly bass pops up every now and then to remind you where the trip is going. Diving deeper into the experimental and futuristic approach of sub-focused music, you will hear Hard Drum and Baile Funk mutations, driving Breakbeats and of course some serious Dubstep weapons to finish things off.
