Whenever I've been asked lately who my favorite producer was he was the first one I'd mention, and I had tickets to see him play next month here in Denver. It's heartbreaking and tragic. He was only 25. I hope to catch you in the next life brother!

CharlestheFirst Tribute Set

Tribal Bass is an umbrella term for all music with a downtempo feel and a breaking groove, that combines progressive sound design with organic elements and deep sub-bass. PsyDub, GlitchHop, post dubstep, deep-step, global beats, ethnic trap, world bass, neuro-funk, raga-bass, hard-wave, farmer-trap, ... you name it, if it slaps and it represents the globalized music community it can be part of our co-creation.

For Mabon (the "end of summer" celebration) we'd like to surrender to the water and the West, the cooling down and finding direction, the becoming soft and starting a journey within again, reaching for the stillness and cool down of winter times. "Into The Flow" is a representation of accepting the cycles and flow of life, and understanding the flow of sound, our bodies and nature.

Just heard about Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan. I didn’t care much about either of them, but still iconic. I kind of liked Hulk Hogan as a kid, and Ozzy reminds me of Wayne’s World 2. Now one of my dear friends, Ben Fann, who I recently rewatched that movie with passed away. So many memories the last few years hanging out. Will never forget riding down with him to volunteer for RV parking at Texas Eclipse, or how he would frequently come by to make food with me and listen to unreleased music. Made this song one time with him looking over my shoulder suggesting a few ideas after we watched Kung Fu Panda at the theater. He came up with the name "Kung Fu Drip." I was thinking maybe "Secret Ingredient," originally, but I like it. We'll miss you, Ben! This one is for you. 🫶

Grows In Still Water

Akasha is a 3 track album compiled by Antandra. It includes his original mix along with remixes from PERICLES and Darius Twin. This EP is available via Antandra's bandcamp page for 'Name your price.' 

The original Antandra song, Akasha, was created with a variety of sounds from the Noveture Sample Pack from Gravitas Recordings. It was made as a homage to the late Visionary Artist, Ingo Swann, and features voice samples from a presentation he did on "Human Super Sensitivities and the Future" in 2006. 

PERICLES' swamp queen remix seamlessly fuses drum n bass with squishy tribal bass music. It takes the listener to another dimension where the Akasha can be accessed directly. 

Darius Twin's techno remix is an Akashic banger! It brings us right back into our bodies to integrate the inter-dimensional space travels. A welcomed addition to this sonic journey.

Mystic Sound Records is happy to share with you the collection of amazing music compiled by the incredible Jeremy’s Aura – “Lurve Connection Vol. 1”! 

You’re at a party in a museum after hours. A sweet and cheeky hostess welcomes you at the entrance, and leads you through the gallery. You explore the venue and squeeze past the crowd of people. On the first floor you see Kandinsky with Alzheimer’s: his synesthesia is so powerful that he plays music the way he paints. Salvador Dali is also there, very tipsy on the piano nearby. In the next room you find a salsa party filled with cartoon heroes from some freaky alien world. You keep on exploring and find a stage, the band is playing something familiar and you can finally dance. There is a chill area in the courtyard where you can lay down and enjoy the infinite sky and floating clouds as you look up towards the Alexander Calder mobiles hanging above. At every party there is always that one guy who puts on the death metal to catch the crowd off guard, but it somehow fits into the obscurity. You take a deep breath and keep exploring, finding a hidden dance floor. It is once again, very familiar; a collection of all the pearls from the previous scenes. Dali and Kandinsky are bartending now, and death metal guy is warming up the drum kit. Members from a Latin American band join him for a very nice and sophisticated closure – unity of floors. This is the Lurve Connection: where the love for music and art brings the world together.

I had a wonderful experience crafting a tribal restomp of one of my all-time favorite producers, Tribone. It was one of my most challenging remix projects ever, because he sets the bar so high. Nature's Gateway was originally started 5 years ago in a treehouse at the Hostel In the Forest, and later developed in my home studio off and on up until I thought it would be fun to release on this compilation through Visionary Shamanics Records, 'Kaleidoscopic Vibrations.'

It's the only song I've ever done that's not only in a 432hz based tuning, but is also using Maria Reynolds tuning rather than the typical equal temperament tuning. Not sure whether it's more healing or anything. Just experimenting with the subtleties of sound.
