"It Changes Name" by Laxá & Heima Kvartett is a dynamic interplay of contrasts. Driven by Matthias Helguson's relentless drum & bass groove, Mike Taylor’s synths carve through the mix with sharp, shifting textures. The track gradually resolves into a more introspective section, where Natasha Guðmundsdóttir’s viola and Ída Sigurðardóttir’s cello take the lead, supported by delicate strings and restrained guitar work. Just as the atmosphere settles, Taylor returns with a piercing synth line, disrupting the calm and reshaping the track’s identity once more.

The idea for this remix came to me when I heard the cover of Lepotan sung by Azis. 

The energy of this cover grabbed me immediately, and I thought to myself: "Wait, what if I mix the original version of Ceca Raznatovic with Azis' interpretation and charge the whole thing with a fat club atmosphere?" 

That's how my remix came about – a powerful combination of Balkan vibes and electronic club sounds that is guaranteed to set the mood!
