I have always enjoyed listening to Atmospheric Jungle, but I have only been collecting more and playing Atmospheric sets and mixes in recent years.  Photek is one of my favourite producers of all time, I love his Atmospheric tunes, so when I had the idea for this mix, I had to do it.  I love listening to these tunes at the end of a big night out at a sick rave, maybe you might too.  Enjoy!

Foreign is the pseudonym used by Miguel Vázquez to play sets of IDM and Braindance sounds, combining the smoothness and efficiency of transparent melodies with abstract landscapes and dense atmospheres loaded with complex polyrhythmic structures.

In mid-2001, Miguel began working at the well-known record shop Recycled Music Center in Madrid, run by DJ Yke. This period lasted several years and provided him with a remarkable learning experience in all styles of electronic music.

Throughout these years Foreign has played in the events of Hard Taste and in clubs like NAO, Dub Club, Specka, Graffiti, Shagü Club and many more. 

He also recorded several podcasts for different record labels like Sin Hilo, Gladio Operations, Zanderhythm, Archaic as well as web platforms like Hyonotic Groove, INDEX and Strange But Dance Music.

In 2022 he created his own label, Mutoscope Records, mostly oriented to IDM and Braindance.

Plaid's techno is some of the most thoughtful out there, and the way
the British pair deliver it is often just as interesting. Take
Ed Handley and Andy Turner's latest album, Polymer, which came with its
own interactive web environment and encouraged us to think about the
role artificial substances play in our lives. Musically it was
a harder-edged mix of broken techno and heavy snares, but still offered
the sort of technicality and emotion that has always stood the Warp
duo apart.

In their mix for us they put all their many years of know-how into a
timeless selection of tense and engaging electronic sounds. It touches
on far-gazing and futuristic techno, melancholic ambient passages and
onto scintillatingly melodic IDM and twisted jungle. It's a real
rollercoaster from two jedis of the scene.
