'cash considerations' is a spark. Written and performed primarily by Benjamin Durland and released under the Our Bones moniker, the goal was to clean out the metaphorical closet of songs that felt too cutting to remain in digital limbo. The hope was to ignite the resurgence of Our Bones as a collective force, which has already begun. I wrote the lyrics to this song while on a bus on the Autobahn in Austria. I took them back to Chicago and began the process of creating the music and recording everything, which took a little over a year working on and off. This is one of my favorite songs I've ever made and I hope you like it.
