Anthi Damvouneli was born in 1980 in Heraklion, Crete and has been living in Athens since 1998.  
  She studied Music Science at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and Clarinet Performance with Spyros Mourikis at the Conservatory of Athens. 
Her first Master's Degree was on Musicology at EKPA, while her second one was on Clarinet Performance at Ionian University.
  Besides her main activity as a clarinetist at Piraeus Concert Band, she has been teaching at Music Schools for over a decade. 
 Meanwhile she has been writing articles and reviews for the cultural site mixgrill.gr and organising "secret concerts in secret places"  as a founder member of Sofar Greece.  
  From 2013 to 2015, she was leading the Clarinet Trio "Clarinet Gang", mostly performing cinematic music and classical transcriptions.
  In 2014, Anthi Damvouneli, as Mr.Girl, had her first composing/performing assignment from Athens International  Film Festival. Her piece / performance "Frame-Light-Motion", for clarinet, ewi, electronics, loops and movement, that was presented at Technopolis for AIFF's closure, was the start point of her compositional journey.  
  Since then she has been composing various pieces, both for classic musical instruments, voices, choirs, as for electronics and indifferent non musical stuff, as kitchenware.  She has also attempted a piece for live electronics and clarinet, that was performed on the First Master Degree Graduates' Symposium at Ionian University. 
  Her favourite fields of inspiration are greek mythology, philosophy, visual arts  and dictionaries, but she is also influenced by politics, food, human and animal rights, her baby girl Andromeda!
 At her hometown Rethymno, she had the opportunity to be part of a "live painting-solo clarinet" project, at the opening of Marilena Kalaitzantonaki's painting exhibition in August 2016.
  In 2017, Anthi Damvouneli has taken part, both as a performer and as a composer, in National Opera's "Transmedia Labwork:ρους", that was presented at National Opera's Experimental Stage.
  From 2017 to 2020 she has been a member of the National Theatre's  compositional lab with all of her pieces been presented at National Theatre's Experimental Stage.
  She has attended many "music for the theatre" master classes with some exceptional greek composers, as Kornilios Selamsis, Stavros Gasparatos and Nicolas Tzortzis.
  In 2019, she has attended Alain Louvier's compositional master class by composing a trio for clarinet - cello - piano, based on Messiaen's modes.
  In 2020, among great indifferent artists, she was about to perform as a clarinetist, as a yogi (!) and as an Epirus' old woman (!), George Aperghis' alternative option of "Énumération" at Athens Conservatory, but it was COVID-cancelled until March 2022.
 Her 2021 project "HαdεS" was about an alto flute-piano duet and their "underworld" meeting, on behalf of Panteio University & SGT's  annual collaboration, only on line presented due to COVID.
Her last 2022 project KETI, a piece for six hands on a piano, is a Pythia Trio commission for its greater project The Oath of Hippocrates (Tanantia Touteoon), which is on a European Tour until the end of 2022.
